"That's interesting... All of your adventures are really different and new every time, huh," Amber mumbled.

"Yeah, we just take anything that comes at us. There's no reason to be so stiff and follow textbook rules, after all," Coda replied. "I know we've been friends for quite a long time now, but honestly, why can't you go on trips like mine?"

Amber completely tensed up the moment he heard the question. The very question he had tried his best to avoid, was thrown directly at him without any warning. "Ah, I guess what people call 'rich people problems'..." Amber sighed out the white lie he had always used, but knew it would eventually stop working.

Coda, being observant, noticed Amber's tense posture, and had decided to lighten the mood by not touching on that subject, and therefore, changed the topic.

"Why don't we... Go on one together?" Coda asked, half jokingly as they WERE just kids, neither of them could go driving a spaceship around. "... Really?" Amber looked up, and the solemn look he had before was gone, only to be replaced by one of hope.

"H-huh? Well of course, though eventually, I guess," Coda said with several pauses. "When? Where?" Amber asked, seemingly excited from Coda's answer.

"I don't know... Let's think about this another time, okay, Amber?" Coda tried calming Amber in his overly happy mood. Amber gave a slight look of shock, and winced a bit, be he came to accept it. "When we're older... You promise, right?"

Coda nodded in reply.

"And that... Was a lie, wasn't it? I'm so sorry, I had to leave, and there wasn't any time for me to tell you..." the present Coda regretfully said.

Carnelian shook his head, smiling all the while. "There's no reason to apologise. As a King, I have at least explored a lot of the world. But what I gained from them... Isn't necessarily, or definitely not, the same as that of you during your adventures."

"But please... King Carnelian, I'd still really love to go on a trip with you. I know you have your duties, but as important as that is, I intend on fulfilling my promise to you from then," Coda said with a definitive tone.

Carnelian grinned.

"Of course, why wouldn't I not want to travel the world with my closest friend?"
