Dahyun yelped as she was tipped onto the ground, the water spilling around her as she tried to soak herself in it, hoping the little bit of moisture left would keep her alive for a little bit longer before she dried out.
Her tailed flapped like a fish out of water as she was gasping, lying in what was left of the tank she was once in.
Laughs erupted around her as Jackson stood smirking at her, his arms folded as him and his friends found this most amusing.

"Please..." she begged quietly
"I need water or-"
"Or what? You'll die?" Jackson cut her off
"I mean we get the pearl if you die so maybe-"
"I decide if she dies or not" The voice that made anyone scared forced him to back off as Dahyun whimpered, cowering under the fiery gaze of the Red Witch.

She came towards her, her dress trailing on the ground as she knelt down beside Dahyun who was still suffering from the lack of water, feeling her body dry up.

"Now sweetie if you hand over the pearl then we can keep you alive" She spoke in a calm voice, brushing some of Dahyun's hair behind her ear as she spoke.
"If not, then we'll have to take it by force" She threatened but Dahyun shook her head.

"I can't hand it to you, not when everyone back home trusted me with it" She spoke, a tear falling from her eye.
The Red Witch smirked, wiping the one mermaid tear that fell, noticing how it was crystal clear compared to any other tear.
"I know it hurts, but it's for the rest of the worlds sake" She explained, playing with the tear in her hand before she let it fall to the ground.
"But, if you really can't hand it over willingly"
She stood up before turning to Jackson.
"Do the honours" She gestured before she began to walk away, Dahyun panicking when she saw the glint in Jackson's eyes.

"Wait! I'll give it you!" She held her hands out, the Witch stopping and turning to her as she knelt down beside her again.
"You'll give it to me?" She asked, uncertain as she knew how powerful these pearls could be.

"Yes, take it!" Dahyun told her, holding her necklace out from her neck as the witch smirked, reaching her long fingers with sharp red nails out to it, only for it to be snatched away.

"But you tell me something first!" Dahyun spoke, the Witch smirking.
"Anything you wish" She told her sweetly.

"What do you want with the elf and werewolf?" Dahyun asked, a plan coming to mind as the Witch giggled slightly.
"I need something pure to activate my plan, and what is more pure the true love?" She told the mermaid before she snatched the pearl from around her neck, leaving an empty necklace hanging.

She finally had it.
The pearl of Singularity.

She always loved the colour of this one, the Black suited her quite well as she put it among the other pearls she had collected.

"Thank you for this Dahyun" The witch smirked
"Y'know, you really have helped with our plan" She told her as suddenly the whole room seemed to melt away around them, fading everyone and everything besides herself, Dahyun and Jackson as they now seemed to be on a deserted island, the sky clouded over a dark colour as the normally bright blue sea was dark and the waves were strong and heavy, crashing furiously against the rocks.

Dahyun could hear small whispers of the Red Witches voice in the air, the voice heading off into the distance as it called out the name 'Taehyung'.

The witch suddenly used her magic to pull up a vision of Taehyung swimming towards Jimin who was thrashing in the water helplessly and the two of them seemed to be really struggling.

"Are you wanting to capture them ma'am?" Jackson asked, the witch laughing.
"The opportunity is here so may as well" she shrugged before giggling.

Dahyun knew something was wrong and she recognised this island, she suddenly remembered hearing stories from the older mermaids back home who knew this island all too well and avoided it at all costs. Only then she began to realise what the witch was about to do.

Taehyung and Jimin were stuck in the water as she looked at the vision of them helplessly clinging to one another whilst the waves were powerfully forcing them under water, the witch controlling the waves with her hand that twisted and turned to create the shape of the waves.

Suddenly, she clicked her fingers with her other hand and Dahyun's predictions were true.

The gates that kept a monster nobody had seen for centuries opened as the witch whispered something that echoed through the air before the ground rumbled and gliding through the water was the Kraken, heading straight towards the shore a few miles away that Taehyung and Jimin were at.

They were about to face the Kraken and nobody could help them.

The witch laughed loudly as even Jackson was uncertain of her idea.
"You sent the Kraken? But even he will attempt to kill them" Jackson spoke but she giggled.
"Not after my commands" She smirked
"Taehyung and Jimin will be in the palm of my hands and hopefully all of their friends will be dead by the time the Kraken is through with them" She spat at the image of their friends gathered on the beach who were watching Taehyung and Jimin in horror.

Dahyun had enough, she had to do something.

She used all her strength to jump off the rock she was lying on, splashing into the water where her body instantly relaxed from being met with water again. Only then she realised that the witch could control her or anything to happen to her if she didn't get away fast.
Before the witch had the chance, she swam into the depths of the ocean as fast as she could, following the Kraken's trail.

"Want me to go after her?" Jackson growled, taking his jacket off as he prepared to swim after her, only the witch gripped his arm sharply.
"Let her go" The witch spoke calmly as a smirk formed on her dark red lips. An evil smirk.
"Let her face the Kraken and see what happens to her" The witch told him before she teleported her and her assistant back.

Dahyun followed the trail as fast as she could and more determined than ever.

It felt like forever since she was back in the sea and she was so close to home from here, but she had a job to do. She knew it would be the last thing she'd do.

But then again, anything to say sorry for handing over the pearl.
