A few weeks later
Y/N POV
A few weeks have passed since Hoseok started at my school and we'd gotten pretty close over this time. During lunch we meet up and talk about everything- from family and friends to our past experiences. I learnt that much like me, Hoseok has moved around a lot and continuously finds himself in new schools. I can't help but feel for him; knowing how hard it is to keep friends when moving around from place to place.Lunch arrives and I leave my maths class and begin to walk to the cafeteria, intending to find Hoseok, or Hobi as I now call him, on the way. As I reach our usual table, I smile once I see the familiar face sitting there. I smile and wave but he doesn't see me, phone pressed to his ear and he appears to be shouting at someone down the phone. I've never seen him like this before. My usual ray of sunshine has turned into a cold man, seemingly angry at the person on the other end of the phone- him making that very clear. As I get closer I hear the end of the conversation. "No, you figure it out. I need more time... fine, I'll do it tonight. You owe me" and with that he hangs up.
"Hey!" I shout as I sit down and wave in his face. He jumps and looks angry, but smiles and calms down as soon as his eyes make contact with my own.
"Hey Y/N! How was class?" He asks, tilting his head inquisitively as he begins to poke his fork around in the salad in front of him.
"It was maths, Hobi. Still just as boring as every other lesson" I reply whilst rolling my eyes and pulling an apple from my bag, earning me a chuckle from Hobi. "Hey, who was that on the phone? You seemed mad?" I ask. Once he heard this question I see as he visibly looks uncomfortable and fidgets in his seat.
"Oh that? It's nothing. Just my dad asking me to pay my board at home.. I don't have the money to pay it right now" he replies quickly and coldly. "But anyways, what're you doing after school?" He asks, quickly changing the subject.
I look at him with concern and quickly grab one of his hands. "Hoseok. Are you okay? Do you need me to lend you money?" I ask in a caring tone so he knows I'm being genuine.
"What? No!?" He snatches his hands away from mine. "Don't be silly Y/N!! I'll figure it out" he snaps as I flinch and sink back into my seat.
"Okay.. I'm sorry I offered" I reply, clearly sad. Hobi realises this and immediately comes over and hugs me tight. I hug back instantly.
"No no no, Y/N I didn't mean to upset you!! Thank you so much for the offer, but really. I'm okay. I promise" he replies, holding out his pinky in front of me. I link mine with his and we stamp our thumbs together.
"Okay, as long as you promise" I smile and he returns the gesture. He turns to sit back down and continues to eat his food as I do the same.
"Anyways, you never answered my question.. what're you doing after school?" He asks. I ponder for a second, before remembering that I have to study.
"Ahh; I have a date actually!!" I reply, enthusiastically as Hobi's eyes go wide.
"A date!! With who!?" He asks excitedly as he bounces up and down in his seat in anticipation. I giggle-
"His names textbook!! We're meeting up at the library later!! I can't wait!!" I smile as Hoseok sits back, rolling his eyes causing me to burst out in laughter. "Hahahah, I'm hilarious" I say as I smack my leg and hold my stomach whilst laughing.
"Yeah haha so funny" he replies sarcastically. "Anyways, so is you're not doing anything, do you wanna come over to mine and study for the English exam we have coming up next week?"
"Sure!" I respond. "I'll drive, meet me out-"
"No!!" Hobi cuts me off before I can finish my sentence. "I'll drive. I'll drop you back to your car later." He responds quickly, leaving me curious.
"Why? Surely it's easier if I just drive? Honestly I don't min-"
"I said no, Y/N. My parents won't like it. Just let me drive you, please" He pleads, worry in his eyes.
"Okay. You drive. Meet me outside the front gate at 3" I smile. And just like that the bell rings. "I'll see you after school!!" I say as I pack up my bag and walk to class without looking back.
Time skip
The bell rings, signalling the end of the day. I quickly pack my bags and speed walk to the front gate, waiting for Hobi to join me so we can go. As I stand around, tapping my foot whilst waiting, I see a boy in a cap and mask approach me. As I look closely at the eyes, I notice it's Hoseok. "Hobi?" Why are you dressed like that?" I ask curiously. He quickly links his arm with my own and leads me around the corner from school.
"Let's go, Y/N. Now." A cold and serious voice tells me what to do and without hesitation, I listen.
"O-Okay. A-are you okay?" I ask as we approach a dark coloured car. He opens the door for me and I get in, watching as he slides in next to me. Once the doors are shut, he removes the hat and mask, returning to the smiling and happy Hoseok that I know.
"I'm okay!! Sorry about that I just wanted to get out of there quickly. Crowded spaces really aren't my thing" he replies, looking down. I grab his hand gently and smile at him with an understanding look. I then snap back to reality as I realise the car is moving but Hobi isn't driving. I look towards the front of the car to see 2 men, one driving and the other staring off at the road.
"Uhh, who are they?" I ask Hoseok as he looks at me smiling.
"Oh, don't worry about them. This is Jin and Yoongi. My personal driver and personal assistant" I see Hobi smirk at their direction as the blonde one turns to give him a glare and the other does the same through the mirror.
"Hello, princess. My names Yoongi" the blonde boy smirks at me as I smile back slightly. "This here is Seokjin" he says as Jin waves at me.
I wave back, "Hello, I'm Y/N" i say politely. "It's nice to meet you" I smile. Yoongi smirks whilst leaning slightly closer to me.
"No, babygirl... it isnt" and suddenly I feel a wet cloth being pressed against my mouth and nose. I struggle and try to pull his hand away from my face but quickly become dizzy as everything turns to black.
