Chapter 1.

Amelia POV.

I really hope I dont haveto go to Michael's office todag after school, he knows I'm terrified of the dentist! He always tries to get me to come but he always fails because my excuses are so good.

7:30 am

I get dressed for school and I go downstairs to have breakfast

''Morning Ami, how'd you sleep?'' Michael says as he sits his coffee down on the table.

'I'm so tired, cant I just bunk today?'

''No you need to go to school, but I've set you an appointment with me after school at 3 for a checkup, you havent had a checkup in 3 years so you need to go to school and I'll fetch you afterwards'' he says and I pout and say

'Michael please I dont want to, you know I'm scared'

''Ami I know you hate it but if you come today then you dont haveto for another 6 months, it'll be fine it's just a checkup'' he says rubbing my back

'I'm not going, I hate it there!' I yell yell  ''suit yourself'' he says and shrugs

'UUUGGHHH!' I groan and I start eating my breakfast

After I'm done I wait for Michael and he grabs his keys and says ''okay jump in the car let's go''

I reluctantly get into the car and we start driving. After about ten minutes of awkward silence the car jerks to a stop

'Miki.. why is it so bad if I dont get a checkup today, cant I just go tomorrow, please!?'    I beg and use my best puppy dog eyes and use his special nickname

''You're going today Amelia and you'll go every 6 months, I understand you're scared but we can work on that''  he said sympathetically and rubbed my shoulder

'Fine, when are you going to pick me up?'

''Actually you'll be sent up to the office, I'm picking you up early because were gonna do something after the appointment'' he replies with a smile

'What are we gonna do?'  I say excitedly

''I would rather leave it a surprise but were getting takeaway for dinner''

'Cool can't wait, love you bye!' I say closing the car door

Michael POV.

I feel so guilty for what I'm about to put Amelia through, shes not only getting a checkup because she also has to get braces, that's the big 'surprise' but hopefully she wont put up a huge fuss afterwards since were having takeaway  curry after to make up for the whole braces thing

It's now about 11:15 and I haveto pick Amelia up at 11:30 because her appointment is at 12:30

I'm picking her up at 11:30 so I have time to comfort her and persuadec her into this whole thing

I pull up to the front of her school and ring the bell so they let me in...
