3. The Date!

I know it shouldn't have taken more than one book for this to happen but idc, screw you lol.

Kai's PoV

I started recording on my camera and went into Jack's recording room, I saw him just about to hit stop recording when he spotted me. "Uh hey Jack, I kinda have a surprise for you..." I said, suddenly getting all shy and blushing. "Hmmm I wonder..?" He said in a mischievous voice while rubbing his chin for comedic purposes. I let out a small giggle and he went with me. We walked the 10 minutes to the public park I had chosen for the date. While we were walking there, we just talked about life in general and how hectic it had been. About Larry, Wilbur, Becky and then right at the end... about us. We got to the park and we sat on the side of the fountain, chucking pennies in, seeing who would say the stupidest wish they wanted to come true. Jack won and he said he wished he was buff, shooting out lightning bolts and owned a pegasus. This is why I loved Jack, he was strange, yet funny at the same time and it was everything I could ask for. Anyway, I checked my watch and it said 7:30pm and apparently the sunset was at 8:10pm so we had 40 minutes to dawdle and mess about to get to a specific bench which over-looked the whole park and it also had the best sunset view.

Jack's PoV

I couldn't believe Kai surprised me with this random mini trip to the park. I wasn't complaining though, just didn't expect it whatsoever. He was so mysterious sometimes and then other times he couldn't be any closer, I loved that about Kai.

Kai's PoV

I never knew how much Jack and I learned about each other from me just editing his videos. Anyway, we were just messing around while I was slowly directing Jack to the place that inspired the whole date. Finally we got there and the sky was a mix of pink and orange. "Hey Jack, look!" I said, pointing at the sky. He held my hand and pulled me to the bench with fireflies all around. "Did you plan this?" He said, blushing, "for me?" I nodded and he hugged me. "Quick or we'll miss it!" I said, grabbing his hand and sitting down on the bench with him. I put the camera on the other side of me without Jack knowing. We watched the sky fade from colour to colour in silence but still acknowledging each other were there. I rested my head on his shoulder and he held my hand before telling me "This is perfect," (Ayyyye that's where the AwEsOmE title came from, well done me lmao um...anyway) I got up while holding Jack's hand and walked him to the fence that had a view of the whole park below it. I took both his hands in mine and looked into his sparkling ocean eyes before asking him "Jack Massey Welsh, will you be my boyfriend?" He blinked a few times, eyes wide. "Yes, obviously!" He said, kissing me. Why was I so nervous, he was obviously gonna say yes! I thought to myself. I jumped into his arms, wrapped my legs around him and gave him the biggest bear hug ever.

I'm crying of happiness, why am I like this. I got in such a good mood as soon as I wrote that last sentence, I'm so weird lmao
