Amongst an island deep within a vast unpopulated world, where people where scarce and spread apart, one lacking with technology and striving in yearning hopes for interaction. Only small communities of a few, never more then fifty, were strewn about, scattered. Travelers rarely came across them, and those naive of survival, parished quickly. You were amongst one of these travelers, maybe not so naive with survival aspects but a freedom seeker and world explorer nonetheless.

You traveled with a fateful companion, simply known by N. You worried not for details of her name but more so partnering up for this common goal. There was a thing of fates to find.

Tradition states, or much as a true rule states in this world, there is at least one person whom your bond will be eternal with. It's rare, very rare, for one to come across said person in the spread apart nature of the isolated humans. Only travelers ever had a sliver of hope for such an oppertunity. In N's village, they stated that at the mere touch, sometimes even sight, of this forever mate of fate, would lead each other to unconcessness. You believed this, hoping one day to faint alongside your soulmate, and hopefully have a pillow handy for such a hard fall.

"I knew the salty air wasn't a good idea!" You whined, even having chose this path. You managed to find a large island, one where even the ocean was not visible from the tallest hills in the center of it. It was an accomplishment to aw at, but saddening when your boat was at the furthest reach of the island from your groups location. "What do yah say N?" You heavily exhaled a sigh, "Scope the coast, set up camp, or head on back to the boat where the 'apparently' only village is?"

"Camp, please..?" She said, disheveled from her warm trench coat, and her need to manage and clean her welkept blades after slautered prey.

The sun set an eerie red amongst the sea as camp was set, and bonfire ablaze as it crackled and burned. The crickets chirped in the dark, and the forest howled. The wind ever so softly blew as you and N slightly talked. You could see her red hair practically ablaze against the fire's glow. You were content at the moment, and you took the first sleep as the other held watch.

You were not asleep long, and none of it had to do with the rocks poking you in your side. You panicked, quickly looking at your partner. The fire was fine, she was fine.

N was slightly shocked, looking up from maintaining her blades in the fire light.

"Are you alright?" She asked in a concerned manner. Putting down her blades, and reaching out towards you.

You had a realistic dream, and it was so detailed your mind was tricked. In it, the fire blazed blue, seemingly out of nowhere. It grew large, grew and grew, overtaking the whole camp as many faces and bodies colonized in the back, almost dark like ghostly shadows. In the midst of it all, was a giant one.

"It's nothin' N. I just had some crazy realistic dream... It was about that crazy area of blue flames we saw about a year ago but, like here at the camp..?" You were not entirely sure how to explain it but your traveling companion seemed content nonetheless. Wether or not she understood or her caring motherly instincts kicked with your babbling was beyond your knowledge.

In the morning, camp was packed, now having to lug all of it towards the other ends of the island. You and N decided to stick to the shoreline as much as possible, figuring it better then traveling through the dense tropical forestry in the rest of the island. Your shoes were not for fit for trudging through the shifting sands as you stuck to the edge of the sand and the forest, having the sounds of waves to calm down the miserable trek.
