I burst through the bedroom door, hearing them moaning as they pleasured each other. Nauseous at how fast I had moved using my vampire speed, I took a deep breath, grabbed my stomach, and leaned against the dresser to catch myself. Val was between Chris and Zane as the two of them worked to pleasure her, Chris' fangs were deep in Val's neck.

"I hate to break this up, but we have a problem," I said, quietly. Chris got off of Val and Val got off of Zane, throwing a blanket over herself.

"I-is the baby okay? What's going on?" she said slowly, trying to catch her breath.

"The baby is fine. But Odie's darkness... It escaped."

"What!?" The three of them yelled out in unison.

"Shhhh! You're gonna wake the kids." I threw them their clothes and they all hopped out of the bed to get dressed as I pulled my robe off and got dressed myself. We all rushed downstairs. We went in the living rom. "I don't really know what the fuck happened, but it escaped from the cage and into the woods. We have to stop it before it gets too far. Can you two put a spell or something around the woods?"

"The amount of power that will take? Fuck... I don't know if can do that," Zane said.

"We have to try... We can't let that thing run free, Zane," Val said. The four of us went into the backyard and Val and Zane joined hands. They went back and forth on what spell to use and how to do it, before they started to radiate a faint glow. They reached their hands towards the woods and I could see a wall of magic start to reach up towards the trees and across the backyard. A stream of magic was racing through the trees – they were trying to find it.

"You two keep doing that... I'm gonna call Dylan and see if he can help," I said. I went back inside, heading upstairs to my room to grab my phone.

"Momma?" I heard. My fangs dropped as I heard Odie's voice. I turned to face the direction of the voice – Odie was standing in the doorway.

"Odie! I'm sorry!" I said, retracting my fangs. "Honey, are you okay?"

"I can't sleep... My head is pounding... My eye is on fire. What's happening? Where's Mom?" I took his hands and headed to the chest at the foot of the bed and sat down with him. I took a deep breath.

"It broke out, didn't it?" he asked, before I could even open my mouth. He spoke to me, struggling to keep his left eye open. I nodded.

"Yeah, and Mom and Poppa are trying to keep it from leaving the woods. But we need to find it or we're gonna trap it with the wolves. I was gonna call Dylan and see if he could help."

"Do you think Ella could help?"

"It's possible, but I would think he'd go out himself and maybe send a couple of adult wolves?"

"...Well, by the time he wakes up those wolves... maybe Ella can find it."

"She's here, isn't she?"

"I'm sorry, Momma... I couldn't sleep. I didn't know what to do."

"We'll talk about that later. But if she's willing to help, I guess she can start. I'm still gonna call Dylan and let him know what's happening. Why don't you two get downstairs? Maybe you can help Mom and Poppa with their spell too..." I grabbed my phone and dialed Dylan's number.

"Hello?" he said, quietly. I heard a female voice groan as the bed creaked. He whispered to her that he was going to the living room. "Liz, it's late... Is everything okay?" Dylan said to me as I heard a door close.
