Chapter 5

Hao Xun and Yibo were sitting near the parking lot, their usual hang out spot. Pei Xin wasn't there since he had a class to attend. Hao Xun noticed there was somethings was bothering Yibo. He hesitated to ask but he finally spoke up.

"Yibo, is everything okay?" he asked. Yibo turned his head to Hao Xun and stared for a while before answering. "I think I have feelings for someone." 

Yibo's answer shook Hao Xun, who went mute for a few minutes. He never expected this answer out of Yibo. He thought Yibo would just talk about this father stuff, definitely not that he has feelings for a living being!!

"You think it's a joke... right?" Yibo huffed. "N-no... of course not! It's just a bit surprising... Wang Yibo? Having feelings? To another human being?" Hao Xun still couldn't believe it. "Who's the lucky girl?" he asked.

Lucky 'girl'? Yibo didn't know what to answer. It's already amazing that he has feelings for someone... it would cause Hao Xun to faint if he told him the lucky girl is actually a guy. So he decided to stay silent.

"Not willing to tell, is it? No problem! I'll just tell Ji Li and the whole school will find out Mr. Ice Statue has finally melted in front of a mysterious maiden and eventually, I'll find out who it is!" Hao Xun threatened him. Ji Li is like a living social media. If you tell him something, the whole school will know about it by the next morning and if you go ask him, all he'll say is that he knows nothing. 

Yibo only started coldly at Hao Xun for a few seconds and Hao Xun immediately surrendered. "Wang lao shi... I was just joking, alright? I mean if you don't tell me who it is, I can't help you at all. And you seemed like you were pretty stressed about it." Hao Xun shrugged.

"It's Xiafaisof Zhafasife" Yibo mumbled shyly. Hao Xun couldn't help himself but chuckle when he saw Yibo being this shy. "What? Who? Xiao what? Xiao... let me think of someone with that surname... Xiao... Xiao... X-Xiao Zhan? Impossible!" Hao Xun laughed at himself but when he saw Yibo's face stiffened, he realized it instantly.

"Wang lao shi... is it really Xiao Zhan?" Hao Xun's voice was shaking while he asked. "WANG YIBO! OH MY GOD! YOU ARE- you are... gay?" he whispered the last word into Yibo's ears. Yibo just sighed and looked away.

"Oh my god... this is the reason you were... you were rejecting all the girls! Now it makes sense! But... but... Xiao Zhan... he... isn't he dating your... your stepbrother?" Hao Xun frowned and finally know why Yibo had been so unhappy these days.

"I don't know..." Yibo let out a sigh. "Xiong di, don't you worry! I will help you find more intel on your Xiao Zhan. We aren't even sure if they're dating, right? They could be just buddies." Hao Xun comforted.

"Don't tell anyone about this," Yibo warned and Hao Xun nodded in agreement. "But are you going to tell Pei Xin?" 

Yibo hesitated for a moment. He did wanna tell Pei Xin but with that playful mouth of his, he was worried that others would find out his secret. So he finally replied, "No, not yet. I am not even sure about my feelings yet."

A few minutes later, Pei Xin joined them right after his class ended. "I saw this dog today and it's so fluffy and cute. I wish I could have my own dog." Pei Xin cried. Since he was tiny, he really loved dogs but he was never able to take care of his own because his parents never allowed them. 

"By the way Pei Xin... this is my friend's situation, alright?" Hao Xun started. Yibo immediately knew Hao Xun was going to talk about him and gave him a death glare but Hao Xun returned him a look that it's going to be alright.

"Well... my friend thinks he likes this gu- I mean girl. So my friend owes her money. Is there a way he could use that fact to get closer to her? Oh, and the girl could have a boyfriend. And that boyfriend is someone my friend hates." Hao Xun explained.

"I'm confused... so your friend doesn't know that she is taken or not... but likes her... and even owes her money? First of all, your friend is dumb as fuck. He sounds like he has no experience in this stuff." Pei Xin complained. Yibo almost choked hearing it.

"Secondly, give an excuse that you don't have a large sum of money and tell her you'll pay back weekly. Use that reason to meet each other each week... like an unofficial date. But you better tell me the name of the girl so that I can go and find information and make sure she is single." Pei Xin suggested.

"Eh... the thing is... eh... my friend said he'll take care of that part on his own. Thank for the idea though! I will tell him later." Hao Xun smiled awkwardly. He then turned to Yibo and gave him a smirk.

Today was finally Wednesday, meaning Yibo was going to meet Xiao Zhan. It was still a few hours before the class so Yibo was just hanging with Hao Xun. "As far as I know, they aren't officially a couple yet. But it's true that Xiao Zhan has never dated a girl during the four years he attended this university. He and Zhuo Cheng were close since they were little. So if my guess is right, they're really just buddies." Hao Xun explained what he heard from Ji Li.

After hearing it, Yibo went straight to class with a smile on his face. The entire class, Yibo did nothing but stare at Xiao Zhan. He mentally practiced what to say. The class ended earlier than expected but Yibo stayed behind so that he could talk to Xiao Zhan. In his mind, all he was prepared was to talk nicely.

"Are you finally going to pay me back?" Xiao Zhan asked while he gathered the scattered sheets of paper on his desk. Yibo then sat on the desk and pressed one of his hands on the papers. Xiao Zhan looked at him, a bit surprised at Yibo's manner but didn't express much on his face.

"I'm a man of my words. I will pay you back... weekly." Yibo smirked. Xiao Zhan was shocked to hear that. He thought Yibo would pay him back and never attend his class ever again. "What are you trying to do?" Xiao Zhan curiously asked back.

"Senior Xiao... I'm just someone really broke. I can't pay you at once. So have some mercy... will you?" Yibo slightly smiled and then grabbed Xiao Zhan's phone that was on the desk. Since it has no password, Yibo opened the keypad right away and typed in his number. 

"I will text you later... see you around!" Yibo smiled one more time and walked out of the room. Although he seemed really calm outside, he was shaking inside. He kept on worrying he'd say the wrong dialogue and embarrass himself. But at least, he did a pretty good job. He peeked through a window and secretly laughed at a speechless and shy Xiao Zhan.
