Bad Ass Chick in the Apocalypse

The loss that i had to face :(

My mum and dad got home from a business trip, we were having dinner and I notice something on my dads arm. I looked closely and it looked like a bite mark.

"Dad what happened?"

"Oh, um, I was walking in the park and this human dressed up came and bit me."

"It looks infected."

"We are going to go to the store now and buy something for it."

"Ok see you soon." I kissed them on the cheek. I turned on the the news and started watching.

"We have some breaking news for ya'll, stay safe at all times, there has been a report of multiple bitings of a new human disease. Don't worry thorough, you only get it if you get bitten." If I was right that sounds like zombies, no way that's got to be a prank. I turned the t.v off and went to my room. I had a shower and heard the garage door open. I ran down the stairs. As I'm about to open the door I hear a scream. I open the door and see my mum pinned against the wall by dad. He didn't even looked like dad, he was pale and his skin looked like he was rotting, and the smell. Take rotten eggs and times that by four, that's how bad it stinked.

"Maddy! Go get the gun, your father is not there anymore, kill hi-ahhhhhhhhh." She got bit right on the neck. I ran and pulled the fridge out and grabbed the shot gun behind there. I loaded it and ran to my mum. I saw her on the floor with my used to be dad eating her. She was still alive.

"Mandy, I love you so much, I know it's going to be hard but you have to shoot your dad." I looked at my dad and I saw he wasn't there. I aimed right for his head and pulled the trigger. Blood splattered every where. My mum ran to me.

"Darling I love you so much, but there's one more thing you got to do." My mum said while hugging me.

"Yes mum."

"You have to kill me, I'm going to become one of them."

"No! I am not gonna kill you!" I said crying.

"Darling, I won't be here no matter what, if you do it now I will be at peace with no pain."

"I love you mom." She kissed me on the cheek.

"I love you too." I loaded the gun and aimed at her head. At the same time we kept repeating, "I love you, I love you so much." I couldn't even look away. I pulled the trigger and bang. My mum made a heart with her fingers and then fell lifeless to the floor.

"Nooooooo!" I screamed crying. I closed the garage door and locked it. I ran up stairs into my mums room. I looked in her necklaces. I grabbed her favourite one, it had a love heart with a small heart inside. Mom always said that she was the big heart and I was the small one inside. I put it on and grabbed my dad's favourite belt and putted it on. I went to my room and packed a back pack full of, undies, shorts, pants, T-shirts, socks, two blankets, a brush, phone, and a spare pair of shoes. I putted my trusty converses on and ran to the kitchen. I put food in my bag. I packed, chips, canned soups, canned veggies, and chocolate. The shot gun, knifes and a samurai sword that my dad collected, and of course ammo. I couldn't pack any meat cause it would rot away to quick. I ran out the door, no one was around, it was quiet. I ran as fast as I can to my friends house Paige. I ran there and knocked on the door. She opened up crying. She let me I and locked the door. I heard banging coming from the bathroom. Which only meant one thing, the zombies got her mom and she was a single parent so that sucks.

"M-m-my m-mum, she's sick." I ran to the couch and opened my bag and grabbed the shot gun.

"What are you going to do Mandy?"

"Kill that thing in there." I said pointing to the bathroom.

"That is my mother not a thing."

"Paige, your mom isn't there anymore, she's gone. That thing wants to eat you, it wants to kill you. Do you have any bites."

"No she said she loved me and kissed me. Then she ran into the bathroom and told me to lock it from the outside. Which I did." I ran to the door loaded the gun and opened the door, I quickly said, "sorry my second mom, I gotta do this." And BANG, her head flew chunks all around except for me. She dropped to the floor.

"What did you do Mandy!" Paige screamed as she was about to hit me in the face, I caught her fist.

"I TOLD YOU SHES NOT FUCKING IN THERE!"
