As we walk home, Benny hurriedly and excitedly run to go home."Hold there boy, I know you're excited as I am to go home after hearing crazy Madam Stuart's story about the girl on the hill." I said to my golden retriever.
"Woof! woof! Woof!" Benny barked happily, knowing that we're going home. Benny excitedly pounced on me, making me lose my balance and fall flat on the pave pathway to our home. He licked me and now half of my face is covered with his slobbery saliva.
"Ewwww Benny! No! Stop it! Sit!" Benny quickly stopped licking me and sat down on the ground, looking at me sadly thinking that I was mad at him."No! Stop it, don't show that puppy-face of yours. You know you're a big boy. Don't make me feel bad. Nooo.."
He keeps on showing his sad puppy-eyes to make me feel bad at him."Fine, fine Benny now let's go home." His tail started to wag as I try to persuade him.
"Now come on, Benny." I tried to tug him to follow me but he sat there and then lie down on the ground."Nooo don't lie down. Now is not the time for a belly-rub time kiddo." Guess what he didn't budge a bit. I sighed and said " How about I give you a snack huh boy? C'mon boy, c'mon."
He jumped right up but only sat down." I didn't mean for you to sit down for a snack." I sighed and gave up on the idea to persuade him and carry him although he is half of my weight now, cause he eats a lot.
The struggle of carrying Benny is surely a struggle especially with his body size covering half of my face eventhough his only a year old now. Plus, carrying him is like carrying a big sack of rice.
" Nnggghhh, believe me Benny, I think we should start on taking care of your diet and that means no more giving food when we're on the dining table. If not, you're surely gonna have obesity, buddy." Benny whined at me after hearing me talking." Fine, fine but only a little snack will do once for a while aye?" Benny happily barked and jumped down and started to walk beside me.
"Ohh Benny, no one could resist you. Now then wanna race home?" Benny barked happily as if he knew that we're gonna race home together like always.
