*Zach's POV*
I screwed up. I shouldn't have gone to that party, I shouldn't have kissed that girl, I shouldn't have betrayed Bri's trust, but I did.
I stumbled out of my car, angry at myself for being so stupid as to cheat on my girlfriend. That's when the door opened and Corbyn glared at me.
"C-Corbyn, I messed up, you have to help me. Does Bri know?" I stuttered.
He nodded, "It's all over Instagram."
With that he turned around and walked inside, arms crossed. I followed him inside, locking the door behind me. When I turned around Corbyn had disappeared and Daniel stood in his place.
He gave me a sad, disappointed look, "You really thought you could get away with cheating on Bri. Do you even know how many people in this world would love to take your place? Would love to be the ones causing Sabrina's happiness? But you were the one doing that, and now your causing her pain too."
"Daniel, please just tell me. Does she hate me?" I got out as tears threatened to fall.
"She doesn't hate you because she isn't that kind of a person but she's sad, angry, confused. Zach, I have to ask. Why'd you do it?" Daniel shook his head.
"I-I don't know," I stuttered.
He rolled his eyes, "You don't even have an excuse, you just did it because you could. You thought no one would know or see but you were wrong and in the process you hurt Sabrina, and that's something you shouldn't be proud of."
With that he turned around and headed up the stairs as I crashed onto my knees and finally let the tears fall.*Daniel's POV*
I rushed up the stairs, making my way towards Bri's room to comfort her. I saw Jonah standing outside her closed door.
"Everything alright?" I asked, concerned.
He shook his head, whispering, "No, she only wants to talk to Corbyn and Jack since she's closest to them so I'm just waiting outside in case anything happens."
I nodded and slid down the wall, burying my head in my hands.
"Now is your chance Daniel," Jonah pointed out.
I shook my head, "I'd rather see her with Zach than sad like this."
Jonah shrugged, "Still, at least try. You never know what will happen."
"Maybe," I said, though it came out more as a whisper.*Jack's POV*
I rubbed Sabrina's back as Corbyn handed her tissues. She blew her nose and continued to cry.
"Zach screwed up really bad. Do you want me to-" Bri interrupted Corbyn.
"Just stop talking about him Corbyn!"
He nodded and looked down, embarrassed.
I can't believe Zach would hurt her, I know though that he really regrets what he did.
"Tell you what Bri, let's go get frozen yogurt, just the two of us," I suggested.
She looked up, wiped her eyes, and nodded.
"Ok then, you get changed out of these snotty, stained clothes and meet me downstairs."
She nodded once more and I stood up, walking outside of her room, Corbyn on my heels. Once her door was shut I stood facing Jonah and Daniel. Corbyn came to my front side and gave me a questioning look.
"What are you doing?" he asked.
"She's my best friend, I can't stand seeing her like this. Therefore I'm taking her to get frozen yogurt and make her forget. Now please let me go get Zach into his room so they don't have an awkward encounter," I answered as I pushed passed them and flew down the stairs, taking them two at a time.
I searched around and finally saw Zach lying on the couch. He looked miserable.
"Hey Zach," I said as I stood in front of him.
He looked up at me, eyes red, "Hey Jack."
He slowly sat up, "Is she mad?"
I nodded slightly and he buried his face in his hands.
"I messed up and I don't know if I'll get her back Jack. Is there any chance she'd take me back?" he asked, hope edged in his voice.
I shrugged, not sure, "I really don't know Zach, I'm sorry. You need to help yourself and fix things with her. But right now you should go to your room because you need to think somewhere that we all won't bug you."
He began to stand up, "I can't believe I did this to her. She doesn't deserve it. Jack, if you get the chance before I do, tell her I'm sorry. And if someone else catches her before I figure out what to do I'll be happy for her since this was all my fault after all. I just want her to be happy, even if the cause of that won't be me."
He shook his head and walked away, staring at the ground. He trudged up the stairs and disappeared down the hall, most likely to go to his room.
I took a deep breath and sat on the couch, waiting for Sabrina.
A few minutes later she came down the stairs and we drove to the frozen yogurt place.
"What size should I get?" she asked.
I grabbed the biggest bowl, "This one."
She let out a laugh and grabbed another bowl as I began to fill mine with the cold treat.
We finally finished adding toppings, paid, and sat down. Our table was outside and the moon was visible in the dark sky. I studied Bri as she stared at the sky, thinking about Zach most likely. I took her here to forget about Zach so that's exactly what I'm going to do.
"So Sabrina, what is something you used to do in Virginia?" I questioned.
She turned to face me and sighed, "I used to stargaze with Austin every Friday night. He would always bring snacks and we would lay on a blanket, staring at the stars as we joked about things that weren't even funny."
I smiled, "The stars are beautiful."
She nodded, "I also have a hidden talent of mine."
"Oh and what is that?" I asked.
"I'm a super good online shopper," she whispered.
I let out a chuckle as she leaned back in her chair, smiling to herself.
"That, my friend, is definitely a talent," I chuckled.
She nodded and we fell into silence, finishing our frozen yogurt and heading back home. I was glad that she was feeling better and now I had to fix my other best friend too.A/N- I am not trying to make Zach look bad, it is simply for the story! I also debated on writing this because of the recent drama that happened but decided to publish it because it helps move the story along. Once again, school has started and homework is piling up so I apologize if I don't get the chance to update everyday! Anyways, hope you enjoyed the chapter!♥️
