Chapter 2 | Part 1: Preparing To Escape The New World

Odogaron walks around the bones by his monster den, sensing something strange through the rock-black ground of the Rotten Vale. He follows this unknown hormone trail, going from his den, past the rib cage of a large beast and towards the mist filled area. Bending down, he touches the rocky ground with his hand and feels some weird energy coursing through.

"Something is among us, something strange indeed. Energy spikes with some weird pheromones, this is the start of something bigger then just us normal monsters, I can sense it."

Out of nowhere, an abnormal roar echoes through the area nearby. He gets up and looks in the direction of the roar, draws out his blade from his waist, a long black-steel katana with a black handle and red woven strings on it. He twirls it in his hand before slowly walking in the direction of the roar.

Once he gets there, a medium-sized creature that resembles a snake with four legs and two big fangs roars again, making the same abnormal roar and giving off a purple aura.

"This Great Girros, it seems it's in complete rage but yet...Akia! The monster must have tracked her from the upper levels.."

He puts his weapon back and stands there, eyes close and focusing on his core. His body starts to morph into his normal form, scales crimson like blood, large tail with a club like end, blue piercing eyes and 8 sets of claws on each paw. Odogaron roars and runs down to the enraged Great Girros before opening his mouth and biting down on it's body, he closes his jaw and picks the monster off the ground.

The Great Girros tries to wiggle out of his jaws but fails as it gets throw to the stone wall. It cries in pain and lands on it's side before getting up and running away for the moment while Odogaron roars at it before changing back into his human form. He walks towards the cave and crawls into the hideout only to see Akia huddled up the best she can with some tears coming out of her eyes.

He quickly runs towards her and hugs the female, careful not to hurt her. She puts her head on his shoulder before quietly sobbing to which he strokes her long, white hair in response.

Akia:"I-I thought..y-you abandoned me.."

"Shh....don't worry. I'll never abandon you, I promise."

Two Months Later

The two have been in the same cave for two months, waiting for Akia to properly heal her body from the fall. Currently, said person is walking around the cave, her leg fully healed and her arm hopefully in the morning tomorrow while Odogaron is making two bone swords using bones and a rock.

Akia:"What are you doing there?"

She asks as the male just merely scoffs in response. He puts the two bones and rock on the ground before getting up and slowly walking towards her to which she backs away.

"Why are you backing away?"

Akia:"Maybe it's because your walking towards me slowly. It's pretty fucking intimating."

"Hmm, or maybe you having something else on your mind...I've heard humans have exaggerated thoughts..."

He stops and puts his hand underneath his chin, looking down at the ground, thinking while Akia slowly blushes in embarrassment.

Akia:"How do you do it? I mean, from watching you so far, it seems you have a nack for knowing things."

He looks up and chuckles as the women stands there confused.

"It seems you admit that you were thinking something...intriguing. Looks like I win again."

She blushes a darker red and covers her face with her hand. Odogaron chuckles and walks up to Akia before removing her hands from her face. He looks at her and for the first time, she can see his some-what human face without the scale mask and scarf. Blue eyes like before, same two front fangs but now has a human face with red scales along the edge of his eyes and cheeks with a row of grey going up from between his eyebrows.
