Tomorrow is the day everything is going to begin. My lifetime opportunity is going to happen and I'm so excited.  I'm nervous as I will be away from my family for a year but if this is something that I really want, I'm gonna suck up those nerves and be the best I can. It's been 2 weeks since the final audition and I have been packing and getting everything sorted in time for tomorrow. Today was also the day we are having another  meeting to confirm everything that's important including our travel information such as passports and visa, accommodation, chaperones and any other things that need to be discussed. I was on my way where the meeting was held, which was in Trafalgar Square with my mum. I was really excited to see everyone again and I mean these are gonna be my 'friends' for the next year so, it's going to be good to see them again right before we head out. As soon as we turned up outside the 20 story building we made our way through, signed in at reception and waited to be called. While waiting, I was going through Instagram, liking pictures, commenting, stalking celebrities and whatever else there is to do on the app, my name had been called by a familiar American accent.

"Aliyah? Hey." I looked up to see where the voice had come from. I know those freckles anywhere.

"Oh hey Cameron! How are you?" I replied standing up to give him a hug. He generously hugged back and replied:

"Yeah I'm good, how you doing?"

"I'm feeling great, I'm so buzzed about this I can't wait!" I excitedly replied.

"Yeah me too. I've been waiting to hear about the news for Descendants 2 so it's great to be back doing what I love." A cough interrupted our conversation and I turn around to notice it came from my mum.

"Oh right sorry. Cameron this is my mum Adele. Mum, this is Cameron. He's come back to play Carlos in Descendants."

"Nice to meet you Ms" Cameron said as he shook my mums hand.

"Nice to meet you too Cameron, I know Aliyah is a big fan she's always talking about y-"

"Mum!" I had to stop her right there. That is so embarrassing, she didn't need to tell him that! Surprisingly Cameron had just chuckled. Thankfully he wasn't weirded out by those remarks. I hope...

"Wanna get something from the cafe while we wait?" I asked wanting to get away from any more embarrassments.

"Yeah sure."

We went over to the cafe to catch up on what we've been doing for the past few weeks and what there's to come for the next few months.

"So what you gonna get?" I asked as we looked at the menu.

"Not sure. I've always wanted to try English tea though."

"Yeah that's what I'm gonna get with... a blueberry muffin."

"Next please." The cashier called out.

"Hi could I have two teas, a blueberry muffin and... do you want anything else Cameron?"

"I'll have a blueberry muffin too please."

"Okay so altogether that's £8.35. Are you paying separately?" The cashier kindly asked. Before I could answer Cameron swiped his card across the contactless machine and said:

"No, it's on me."

"Thank you if you could take a seat with this table number someone will be right over to bring you your order."

As we walk over to the seating area and take our seats we begin a conversation until our order arrives.

"Thanks for paying for me by the way you really didn't have to." I mention

"This is my way of saying congratulations on the audition."

"Aww thanks. I can't wait to see what LA has in store for me. Speaking of, what's it like there?" I had to ask. I've never been to America and LA was on my bucket list to go first.

"Well, it's certainly hotter there than it is here! But it's cool I guess. Especially if you haven't been before I'd say there's a lot to do and see to keep anyone busy. Is there anywhere in particular you would want to go?"

"Well I haven't really thought about specific places but I wanna go on adventures, sightsee, ooo shop and eat!" I ended in a laugh. Can you blame me for mentioning food?!

"Yeah then you will definitely enjoy it."

We carried on our conversation and finished up our light snack until we were both called over. We both knew that we were about to start the meeting so we followed my mum into the meeting room where we were lead and faced with the rest of the main cast, those who were chosen from the audition and their parents. Of course not forgetting Mr Ortega, Derek and Sue and Mark who I had first met throughout this process.

"Okay guys I just want to start off this meeting by saying congratulations on this journey. I know it has not been easy however, life would be boring without a challenge right?!" Mr Ortega had said with a bit of chuckle. We all responded with the same humorous emotion.

"So, considering this is our first meeting all together it is not going to be long, just a few important information dates for you to keep in your diary and a short explanation about each step that is going to be made building up to the filming of the movie."

We had been notified the dates of upcoming meetings and a brief explanation of what our contacts state. Of course this is a huge project especially when working with students first of all and most importantly students who live in a different country to where the movie is going to be shot. There was a lot to go through and a lot to talk about however, this didn't stop my excitement and drive to continue doing this. This is my life. This is my passion and dream all wrapped up in one. This is my new start!
