The year is 2100.

The world had experienced a large nuclear fallout from a war fought by all countries over an economic break down. One side wishing to just assign more jobs and the other calling that impossible. As people were getting married later and having less kids due to the new life expectancy of 90 at the least. The war ended with not many people remaining but the development of a new chip to be implanted under the skin on the wrist. The chip will assign each person a job at 18 on their graduation; and a partner at 21 on their birthday. All couples are expected to have at least two kids by the age of 30. The houses of the country are heavily gridded and people with different jobs live in different areas and own different ranks accordingly. You are generally assigned a job that is similar to your partners meaning they will be in the same area. But every 18 years there is a batch of about 20 or so 18 year olds from each rank are left unassigned to a job and put on a bus. No one knows were these kids go, what they do or why they are sent all we know is that they are never seen again afterwards. Many think they are put to work as soldiers or government officials but others like myself have very different ideas. My name is Kitty and today is my graduation. One small problem though. Most peoples Chips light up the day of their graduation. But mine hasn't. I've always known something was up with me. The teachers looked at me closely throughout my schooling always keeping an incredibly close eye on me. This has happened to exactly 19 other kids at the school, and today is the eighteenth year since the last batch of kids got on that bus to never be seen again.
