So, basically I am going through my random stories written on word documents and uploading some that are done-ish. So, if you think I should continue writing this story, leave a comment. ;p

‘Thank you! Thank you so much Lyz!’ Lusie shrieked as she pulled me in for a hug. ‘This is so beautiful! Where did you get it? Please don’t say it costed you too much!’ She was clasping the Ruby-Stoned amulet that I had just gotten her for her birthday.
‘Price and Origin is a secret! You’re my best friend, I wasn’t going to get you some fake plastic jewellery! You deserve only the greatest, Luce.’ She hugged me once again, even tighter making me lose some breath. I took the necklace out of her hands and undid the chains. Nana had given it to me as she was laying sick in bed; she said it would always keep me safe. She’s dead now but she always had been fond of Luce and I knew that she wouldn’t have minded if I’d given it to her. I clasped the jewel and let go of the sorrow I’d kept since Nana’s burial; I put the amulet around Lusies neck. As she turned to look at herself in the mirror, she shined in delight. It’d looked beautiful on her.
She turned to talk to me, ‘Come on, I think you and I both deserve a little fun, let’s go to the forest!’ Lusie tugged at me but I stopped and held her back.
‘Peira Forest? I don’t think so Luce. You know we ain’t allowed there!’ I looked at her with a puzzled but concerned face and hoped she would listen to me. It was unusual for her to be like this but I know when she wanted to do something, she wouldn’t stop trying to do it.
‘Come on! You know that those stories of monsters and old wizard people are just child’s tale. We would be upon danger anyway with heaps of places to hide, plus we are nearly masters in that- what’s it called?- oh yeah, Qikro!’
I sighed and slapped my hand against my forehead and said with an unimpressed tone. ‘We have had three sessions of training in Qikro; we are not masters! And that specific self-defense strategy is meant for eight year olds; we’re fourteen!’
‘Oh, right!’ Her bubbly attitude slightly faded. ‘But! It’s my birthday! Can you please just bend the rules for one night, come on! You’re my best friend after all.’
I moaned. I hated it when she did this and used excuses but I gave in and grabbed my coat. For a moment she was hesitant and wondering what I was doing until I shouted, ‘You coming?!’ She scrambled to her feet, grabbed her cloak and hat and barged past me out the door.
It was around mid through the night as we reached the broken fence that penned our city away from the creatures that lurked. I wasn’t very convinced that it would keep anything from getting into our town. But none were worried since no monster had entered the town for the past several years.
‘You sure you’re okay with this?’ Lusie asked me, a little more anxious rather excited than she was moments before.
I just replied with, ‘It’s your birthday!’ and wandered through with her trailing beside me, clutching my arms; tight.
‘You’re going to cut my circulation if you grip any tighter!’ I told her in a slightly jokingly way. She was reluctant to let go, but she did. It was extremely obvious that she had changed her mind. She wanted to go back.
‘We can go back, you know.’ I reassured her but she just shook her head. ‘I wanna go on. You know how I’m scared of everything! I need to pull my socks together and just let go of all the fear.’ This is also the reason why I was completely dumbfounded when she had said that she wanted to go here. She is scared of every noise, every little touch. So it was so strange for her to suggest the fobidden forest Peira.
