0.) The War...

The war ended 100 years ago was said to be the war to end all wars... It wasn't. All that happened was destruction. Our world became a battlefield. Millions of people died that horrible year, and not only soldiers. Innocent people were killed. It all started when China set an attack to the U.S. They took their newly developed aircrafts and bombed us.

After the war... It was a mess. Bodies scatter the ground, no food, no clean water... And worst of all, every continent besides North America. was gone. Only little bits of land show.

North America definitely wasn't in great shape though, the ground was covers in nuclear waste and the air smelled putrid from all the rotting bodies. It took years to clean up and make the land truly live-able.

When the empire was finally built up we named it Panem after the leader of organizing the building of our new districts. We had made 13 districts all supplying there own items depending on we're they were located. We also have one capital, where the founders of Panem and there ancestors lived. They were the one in charge. Our president was and still is President Snow.

After he had bombed district thirteen for rebelling also had started this... game. He named it the Hunger Games. It was a game made to entertain the people in the capital and to let everyone know who's in charge. The Hunger Games consisted of 24 players or 'tributes' 18 or younger. A boy and a girl from the ages 12-18 would be called upon from each district during the reaping. They would be placed into a large arena made specially for that year. They would then race to the cornucopia to get supplies to kill each other and to survive. But entertainment wasn't the only reason it was created, it was also created to kill me.
