She set out for her destination. Intel by the broker said that the leaders are currently supervising new technology to be infused with demonic power in their machines. That's why her mission had two main objectives: to steal the blueprints of this delicious technology and then kill the leaders in the process. To top it off for convenience, the military base is located near the border of Ptolemaic Army's territory, which is very near where the venue of the meeting was.
She jumped as high as the three-story house of her neighbor, stood on the roof, and then jumped to another.
She did this as a means to travel to her target destination, when all of a sudden, her phone rang. She stopped for a while and turned her phone to silent mode, but she got a peek of the notification. The notification was about a boy band she adores so much. Without hesitation, she unlocked her phone using face recognition, but she realized she has a mask on. She made a sigh and just inputted her pin code.
Once she saw the post about her favorite boy band releasing a new album, she giggled and went out of control.
"Oh my gosh! Aaaaah! I've been waiting for them to make new ones!"
After remembering that she is in the middle of her mission, she calmed herself. Calm down, she thought. She quickly tapped the like button and locked it, then finally continued on her way.
While she was traveling, she looked down the streets. They are filled with soldiers. Some of them are even beating up children if they slacked off. It was as if the whole area was meant to enslave every civilian.
She was in a chain of thoughts, and then something fast unexpectedly hit her. She fell down into an alley with grace as she prevented herself from getting fazed by such an object. She ran through the building wall, then successfully jumped down from it.
What was that, Shizuka thought. She noticed there's a shadow beneath her, becoming larger in size. She swiftly looked up and jumped back, and then a man landed down the asphalt, face flat.
"Yeowch..." the man would groan in pain.
Shizuka took a while to realize that he is also a ninja based on his outfit. She wondered if they are related, but her mission is top priority. Shizuka attempted knock him out by stomping on the man's head with her heel, but the man evaded by rolling sideways then standing, seemingly not in a fighting stance either.
"Calm down! Who the heck are you are why are you dressed like me and I am sorry for hitting you! Give me a break!" the man would announce, as if shrieking in fear.
His noise is already starting to annoy Shizuka.
"You have the same garb as mine..."
Shizuka does not have time to deal with him. Shizuka looked at his physical characteristics, and the only difference from her is his messy hair in high ponytail and a red scarf which signifies his allegiance to the Ptolemaic Army.
"C-Calm down... I'm Sho." he introduced himself.
Shizuka did not care and she threw a swift knife towards his face. Sho caught the knife, and an electrical charge was released from the knife, electrocuting Sho and paralyzing him.
Shizuka got a long rope from her seemingly endless pouch on her belt. She cut it, then kicked the paralyzed Sho to make him face the ground. She grabbed his wrists then tied them together. She did the same on his ankles. She removed all Sho's gears, and got them for herself. She placed them on different pockets like last time. She took a look at Sho's kusarigama, held them and played with them. She swung a few and made stunts just to get the hang of using the weapon, then finally inserted them behind her lower back and below the katana.
"Not a bad taste. I wonder who you are, but I do not recognize you. I will be back for you later."
She jumped high again and climbed using the small crevices in the building walls, then continued on her way. The paralyzed Sho can only twitch his eyes. Why did I get into this mess, he thought.
