I walk with her, not wanting to leave her alone after watching her nearly kill herself. I don't know what it is; I've only just met her yet I feel like I would do anything for her.

"Are you alright to stay in your apartment alone or...?" I leave the question hanging.

"Actually," she sighs, "there's to much of my parents things in there right now...." She lowers her head and hugs her body.

"Would you like to stay the night at my place?"

She looks at me and contemplated my offer for a moment.

"Could I?" Her cheeks tint pink and I can't help but smile it how cute she looks when she's shy.

"'Course," I smile down at her and my heart melts as she smiles shyly back at me.

I tuck a strand of her hair behind her ear and leave my hand on her cheek and I find myself leaning in to her. Our noses are an inch apart before I pause.

I don't even know her and she doesn't know me.

I clear my throat and straighten as I slowly let my hand fall to my side before I put it back in my pocket.

"Uh- f-follow me," I stutter as I scratch the back of my neck and feel my cheeks burn a little. I notice that she's avoiding eye contact too as she seems a bit disappointed.

Maybe I should have.

I start to lead the way to my apartment and she follows, her small figure wrapped in on itself as she shivers.

I nearly wrap my arm around her shoulders but stop and do the awkward hover-hand thing as I debate weather I should or not.

What is wrong with me?!? Why am I being so awkward?!? She's obviously cold!!!

I finally wrap my arm around her and she looks up at me with wide, curious eyes.

"Sorry!!" I go to remove my arm, "you looked cold so I thought—"

She interrupts me by laughing softly. "It fine I was just a bit surprised that's all."

"Okay," I put my arm back around her as keep walking.
