daniel walked into his house, seeing his dad passed out on the couch. daniel went to his room, being careful not to wake his dead. daniel would be dead if his dad found out he wasn't at school.
far from acholic, his dad still cared for his grades in school. his dad always wanting daniel to go further than him, but his dad just couldn't show what it- the state he was in.
daniel plopped on his bed, closing his eyes to take a nap.

"care to... explain t-this...?" daniels dad had slurred out, way out of his mind to have this talk with his son.
"if i didn't leave school i would've gotten into a fight."
"and if i was in the care your mom wouldn't have gotten into that wreck, but guess what? we still have to deal with the problems."
daniel scoffed, "don't bring up that situation,"
"looks like i'm the only one whos facing this situation head-on," his dad chuckled, downing his last beer.
"you act like you're dealing with the problem," daniel was heading up the stairs as his father opened the fridge and saw no beer, "also, i through the beer out. we still have to deal with the problems."
