cherry is an app to make new friends. like omegle, you meet up with a stranger on video call. but, if you find eachother interesting both click a button and the app automatically adds you and the other as friends and takes you to a seperate call and you and your new friend can talk for as long as you want. alex was a lonely and quiet boy lookin to make some friends. aksel was jus bored on his 12 hour flight, looking for some excitement and maybe friends on the way.

i was trying to step out of my comfort zone and make some friends for once, so naturally i went on the internet and asked reddit 'how do you make friends?' then i scrolled through reddit for a bit and went to bed. the next morning i awoke to a few notifications. stuff like 'pussyslayer69 (LMAO) replied to you: shit idk ion even got friends' 'marrymekageyama replied to you: maybe u can find a discord server abt something you like and talk to people in general chat' ( i think i heard that suggestion from one of aksels acnh streams ) but one in particular caught my eye. 'lixovhs replied to you: you should try this new app named cherry!!' 'what is cherry?' i thought to myself. i searched up the app and checked its reviews. it had 4.5 stars so it seemed like it was liked. 'i LOVE cherry! ive made so many friends with it, definitely recommend!!' said one review. 'hmm seems like its worth a try' i shrugged. i exited off of the app store and when to watch youtube.

i had just finished watching dreams new video 'speedrunner vs 3 hunters' (sorry gotta rep my boy) when i realized it had been 3 hours :0 'huh i should probably check out that cherry app now' i thought. i exited youtube and went onto cherry. i signed up and began my journey to make friends. i looked in the mirror and realized my hair was a mess. 'ah jeez' i thought. i combed it a bit with my hands and threw on one of my beanies. i sighed 'okay lets go..i guess.' connecting with stranger...

there were a lot of nice people and there were some...weird ones. they were mostly nice but we never really talked much, just added eachother and never talked again. i thought i was hopeless. but i decided to give it one more go. and i lit up. there was something about him. he seemed different and he was easy to talk to and slightly attractive might i add.

"uhm hi..aksually.." i awkwardly waved. he chuckled. "hi..quAckItY" he smiled, mocking my awkwardness. "so quACKiTy..if thats even your name." he questioned. "what are you doing on this fine evening?" "oh uh im just sitting in my room waiting to meet someone interesting, maybe become friends." i said. "youre still waiting?! are you saying im not interesting? i am hurt quackity!" he frowned. i panicked "oh no no no! im sorry, i didnt mean it like that! i just-" "dude calm down. im just joking." he said in a sweet manner. something about his accent and the way he spoke calmed me down in an instant. "oh..sorry" i scratched the back of my neck. "soo what are you doing?" i asked. "ah..im on a flight right now and i was getting bored so i downloaded this app. i also had to pay for the stupid wifi" he rolled his eyes. "but hey..maybe it was worth it. i mean look, i met you" he said so sweetly. i felt like my heart was gonna melt. i blushed, "i-it was nice meeting you too.." i muttered. "dude are you blushing ?" he said laughing. "oh im sorry..im not used to getting compliments" i pouted a bit. "hehe it's okay dude. but if youre gonna be friends with me, youre gonna have prepare for a shit ton of compliments" he smiled. (*insert debby ryan face*) i made a small smile, "ill try to get used to it." "so where you flyin to?" i asked. "oh! im actually moving!" he said excitedly. "im pretty excited!! im moving to la!" he said. i was taken aback. i lived it la. "so, i told you where im gonna live. where do you live?" aksually asked. i dont know why, but i lied to him. "oh i live in uh vegas. but you know what's funny? i used to live in la!" i fake laughed. "dang when did you move? i shouldve moves earlier so maybe i coulda met you." he said chuckling. "ahah yeaaa. i moved about a year ago.." i continued to lie. "dang if only i was a year earlier." he joked.

'aksually' and i talked for a bit more until he got tired and went to sleep. i learned that his name was aksel and aksually was a play on his name. i also learned that he was 24 and he was moving from estonia. that explains the accent. i posted about it on reddit. '@lixovhs thank you so much for introducing me to cherry! i already made a good friend thanks to it!' i then scrolled through reddit and went off to bed.
