Chapter 3 (If I Die Young)

"Get your hands of off her!"  I recognized Niall's thick Irish accent.

"Calm down buddy. She's sweating buckets, I need to get that thing off of her! I'm regretting letting you in my house." Adam. I could recognize my best friends voice in a million.

"I'm not even sure you know her! As far as I know you could be some perv picking girls off the streets! I should've drove her to the hospital as soon as I found her. Let's go Sammy"

I felt two strong hands picking me up.

"Wow wow wow! I'm her best friend okay? As far as I know YOU could be some freak picking girls off the streets"

I would open my open my eyes right now and end this, but I was so comfortable in his arms...Mmm strawberries.

"Prove it"

"She's faking. Play's over Samsam, open your eyes." 

Damn it. I hate how he knows me so well.

"Fine. You caught me."

I said as I slipped as smoothly as possible from my last position.

"You almost gave me a heart attack! What the hell is wrong with you?"

"What the hell is wrong with ME? Just a reminder that YOU kicked me out of the house!"

"I..I.."

"Thought so. Why do you even care?"

"You make the best PB sandwiches..It would be a shame if you died." He said and shrugged.

"Ha Ha very funny" I was actually disappointed with his answer, there's a part of me that believes that maybe just maybe he could have feelings for me. 

"I was only kidding" He whispered in my ear sending shivers down my spine.

"Or was I?" He continued..

"Aww look at you two fighting like an old married couple." You can always count on Adam to make it awkward.

Dizziness overcame me and before I knew it I was was falling, suddenly I was being held up by the familiar strong arms and everything went pitch black again.

This time I didn't wake up to Niall's and Adam's bickering but to a constant beeping from my left side.

I sat straight and looked around, I was never admitted into a hospital before.

"There's a first time for everything Sam"

"I didn't realize I said that aloud. Excuse me but who are you?"

"I'm Dr Chamberlain from the kids department Miss Abott"

"Well..Dr Chamberlain I'm sure there's some kind of mistake. See, I'm perfectly fine" I said as I got up from my bed. But as soon as I took two step forward I felt myself going dizzy again.

"Hey! Easy there!" He shouted and helped me back to my previous position.

"I wish it was so Sam" He continued looking at me with pity.

"You're scaring me Doc" 

"We ran some tests, and it turns out you have breast cancer" 

"No, no I'm sure there is something wrong; I don't have cancer. You see, my life is already a huge mess as it is"

Funny how Dr Chamberlain was on the verge of tears and I felt the need to cheer him up. I asked him to keep this our little secret for the moment and not to let anybody in. The next day I was admitted to the children's building since I was only 16 years old, I still didn't want any visitors so I spent most of my time with Dr Chamberlain. He has grown on me, we're even on first name basis now. Ozwald Chamberlain was my new best friend.

"So Ozzie how is it possible to have breast cancer at such a young age?" I asked.

"Ozzie? Seriously Sam? Anyways, it is possible but the risk of being struck by lightning is more than twice as high. The chances are one in 1.3 million. You're special."

"I always wanted to be a right hander.. I thought that was special" 

I'M BACKKKKK WOOOOOOOOO AND WITH A SUCKY CHAPTER TOO.
