Trisha's POV
Damn. First, being fired,now kicked out! Where am I gonna stay?I guess I could just ask around the neighborhood. Just then I hear thunder clap from above me. Just great. I put up my hoodie and run to the nearest bus stop. Then I remembered, it's Sunday, the buses stop coming after 4. Just my luck. I look to my right and see a car coming down the road. I flag them down, and they stop. They rolled down their window to reveal a middle-aged man with dirty blonde hair. He looked to be coming home from work. For some reason this guy seems familiar. "Hello" I pause, "I need a ride.could I ride with you?" I cut to the chase 'cause it was pouring. He nods and I get in. He doesn't start to drive though he turns and asked "I'm Nick,what's your name?" I looked at him confused then realized he was talking to me. "Oh -sorry my name is Trisha". He nods,turns back around and started to drive. "Where are you headed anyways" he asked. Then I remembered,I was evicted I have no where to go. "I-ah just got evicted from my apartment so I have no where to go" I looked at him, hoping he wouldn't kick me out of his car. He stayed quiet for a bit. "How about you stay in my house for the rest of the night and I could help you find somewhere to stay." He told me. I let out a sigh of relief and I heard him chuckle at that. Once we got to his house, fumbled with the keys then let me in. I turned to look at him. I swear I've seen this guy before. "So this might be a weird question but can you tell me your full name" I wanted to know just to see if it rang a bell. "Nick Edwards now may I ask yours" he said in return. I gasped. "My full name is ... Trisha Edwards". He looked at me confused but then looked as if he realized the same thing I did. I felt tears streaming down my eyes as I smiled at him. "Dad... is that you?"
