Ani's POV
I woke up to the sound of my alarm going off at 5:30. I groaned as I got up to go take my outfit out of my backpack when I realized it was my birthday. I'm officially 17! I grabbed my shorts and my favorite yellow over sized hoodie and went to grab a towel when I felt two arms wrap around my waist and lift me up in the air a couple inches in the air.
"Happy birthday love!" I heard Henry exclaim.
"Babe it's 5:30 in the morning. Why are you so energized?" I asked, "Oh and thank you." I continued then gave him a quick peck on the lips.
"Well i had some coffee because I stayed up until 4 in the morning studying for an AP chemistry test." he clarified.
"Well I'm gonna go hop in the shower." I told him breaking away from his hug.
I went downstairs and grabbed a towel from his laundry room and went back upstairs to take my shower. I grabbed my phone and my Airpods and played some music while I was in the shower. Around 10 minutes later I got out and got dressed. I went into the guest room to grab my toothbrush when I saw Christine, Charlie and Alex waiting for me.
"Happy birthday Ani!" They yelled in unison.
"It's 6 in the morning. What are you guys doing here? And thank you."
"We weren't supposed to come until 8 but Henry paid us 10 dollars to come early." Christine said in a nonchalant tone.
"Oh that's cool. I'm gonna go brush my teeth." I told them while picking up my toothbrush from my backpack.
"Well we're just gonna stay here cause we're skipping." Alex added pulling out his phone from him back pocket.
"Why? Isn't track and field today?" I asked.
"Nope! Track and field is Saturday. They didn't want it to be on a weekday because it's prom week." Charlie barged into the conversation.
Sorry this one is so short.
I'm getting major writer's block with this story.
