Zhan had run all the way back to the Wang's house, where he had grabbed the suitcase that he had still - conveniently - not unpacked. He'd left him a hastily scrawled note, which he'd slipped under his bedroom door, simply stating that he didn't want to be used and that he could take the note as his resignation - both as his assistant and as his lover. From there on, he had ran out to the street, which took him to a main road from which he'd caught a car that had taken him to the airport, where he'd waited for a plane that took him back to Beijing.

Once in the city, he'd gone straight to Yibo's Main office where he had retrieved all of his belongings. Determined that he would never go back to his office again, he threw the key to his floor in the river and tried to forget the code to get into the building.

...And now it was three weeks later and he was still running.
His phone had rang for days, Yibo's name endlessly flashing on the screen. Not once had he picked up. Every single part of him wanted to - God, he wanted too so bad... But the reason why he didn't was simple, really.

He had spent years wanting Wang Yibo. To him, the sun rose and set on the man. And when he had opened his arms and invited him into his world, the sun finally began to shine on him as well- and fill his heart with its warmth.
He had been taken to heights he hadn't known could be reached and, so, when he had been let down, the distance to his fall had been that much greater.
He was surprised the drop hadn't been deadly.
But, perhaps, if he let him back in, it would be.
And so he just couldn't - wouldn't - take that chance.
