The Hierarchy

After having a long conversation with that strange man, he had proven to you that he was indeed the king. You quickly accepted his offered and discussed the terms of your employment. Your basic requirements were to cook, clean and take care of his wife while he was away. After having discussed all of this you headed home to inform your father of the amazing news. 

When you arrived home, you rushed to the farm to talk to your father. You were so excited to share the news with him especially since it was your first day on your job hunt. You were quite proud of yourself; that little y/n who worked on a farm got a job in the palace. As soon as you arrived by the farm you saw your father feeding the horses. You proceeded to tell him the story and how you had met the strange man. He was quite upset that you had been talking to strangers, but that was before you told him that this was no ordinary stranger. It was the king. 

You father was shocked with what you had just told him; he refused to believe what you had just said. After what seemed to be twenty minutes, you finally convinced him.

Dad- " Y/n, this is amazing news! "

Y/n- " The king told me to meet him in that palace tomorrow so that I can receive an official tour before I begin working there, but there's one problem."

Dad- " Problem? What is it?"

Y/n- " I have nothing to wear, all the clothes that I currently own are either dirty, torn or not suitable enough to meet the royal family"

Your father smiled

Dad- " Don't worry about that, follow me."

You were quite confused as to what your father meant but you proceeded to follow him into the house. When you got inside he opened a big box that your mom had owned. You never dared to open it due to the fear that your father might get upset. In that box, he pulled out what seemed to be the most beautiful dress you had ever seen. You gasped at the sight of the dress and you looked at your father in confusion.

Y/n- "Who's dress it this" 

Dad- " It was your mom's."

Y/n- " Dad, you really don't need to d-"

Dad- " No, I insist. If you're going to the royal palace you need to look the part. No daughter of mine will enter the palace without a dress fit for a princess."

You smiled as you gave your father a hug. You were so happy that he was okay with all of this; especially the fact that you were also required to sleep at the palace if were to be employed there.

Between that night and the next morning, your father spent the entire time preparing you for your tour at the palace. He ensured that your teeth were white, your dress was flawless and you had a proper meal before leaving.  You were quite nervous since you had never been to the palace before.

The next morning approached; you woke up, had breakfast and proceeded to get ready to go to the palace. Before you left, your father wished you good luck before he kissed you on your cheek and waved you goodbye.

As you arrived at the palace, you were instantly greeted by two guardsmen who had been expecting your arrival.  They were bringing you to the main area where the king, queen, and the prince had been seated. Upon your arrival, they proceeded to tell you about the history of this royal family and the hierarchy. You were quite fascinated with what was being told to you, but before you could ask any questions you arrived at the throne room. The king was pleased to meet you and instantly shook your hand. He then instructed you to shake the hand of his wife and his son followed by an introduction. You shook the hand of the queen and briefly introduced yourself. It was then time for you to introduce yourself to the prince. You barely made eye contact with him since you were mainly focused on the king and queen. "Hello, I am Prince Kim Taehyung," he said in a charming voice. As soon as you looked up at him, your eyes fell into his. You were lost for words and were not quite sure what this feeling you felt was. You and Taehyung stared at each other not saying a word ...........
