Where is the assassin that goes by the name Emeran Rain?
Demerious wanted to scowl; the boy's lips curved downward.
Demerious wasn't one to be choosy or picky...
But right now?
Now, this old demon was tired of being in this boy's body.
He shifted in the body. He aimed all of his "physical magic" - the magic that formed himself, much like the one that made other Spirit Ravens transform - at the boy's hand, which started spouting it. Then, the demon aimed the magic-pouring hand at the boy's amber eyes.
After all, that's how you get in and out of a body.
Through the windows to someone's - or something's - soul.
Strangely, though... Demerious could not escape.
He could not pass through.
"Is this my punishment for escaping the Portal of the Locked?" he yelled in his deep, crackling voice. A few people turned to stare at him, and shrieked at the sight of him.
"You'd be upset, too," he hissed, pointing a finger in their direction, and then gesturing to himself. "It's such a shame that you have no idea what I'm talking about, nor have you ever experienced it!"
Many of the onlookers gasped. A woman in the slowly-forming crowd fainted.
"Oh, right..." Demerious, still inside the child's body, pretended to remember something.
"You aren't dead, now are you?"
His teeth still glistened with blood, so he smiled that gruesome smile.
Shrieks filled the streets. One protective mother snatched her baby from a shopping cart, locked an arm around the baby, and wrapped the other around the torso of her other child.
She loosened her grip on her shopping cart. Then, she let go of it entirely, and she and her family ran far away from Demerious and the body in his possession.
Some people just froze on the sidewalk.
His borrowed amber eyes flashed, and in a blink, his smile had disappeared... along with the rest of him.
