The sun shines bright onto my skin
Illuminating me within
The world blows slight on a world so kind
Yet still I am blind
Is that why I'm happy?

There's all this happiness in the air
As the summer breeze whips through my hair
The joy and love are intertwined
Yet still I am blind
Is that why I'm laughing?

Mother nature loves me so
Far too much to let me go
She shows me I am on her mind
Yet still I am blind
Is that why I'm smiling?

But summer rose and fell so fast
Now just a memory in my past
Always leaving me behind
Now I may not be so blind
Is that why I'm alone?

My friends are all around me near
But still I feel alone right here
My view of life is redefines
What if I'm not blind?
Is that why I'm empty?

Nobody sees me anymore
My heart is sunken through the floor
My feelings inside have been confined
And now I'm not so blind
Is that why I'm crying?
