silver rain makes our skin sleek,
we wade out and about our thighs steep
inside puddledeeppoolshereandthere
i like you when your hair is wet by rain's
insolent waters, you turn and smile, face atilt
like you wanted to thwart my mind's prisons
and let my desire for, a half hint, a full flood
for that simple kiss as to brighten the day
traffic and all luminous light, in front of
them for an audience of our close embrace;
your lips
tastes of
heavenbubblegumallthingssweet
don't mind me acting crazy
because despite the city noise
i catch our rainstreakedreflection
in the cafe window next to us
and i've no desire to go inside
