Protecting his Love

Ben's POV:
it's been an awful two months since Mal and I broke up. I can't focus on my king duties, I can't focus in school, and I can't focus knowing the fact that she's not mine anymore.
Mal changed too, she doesn't talk to anyone but the rest of the four core. She looks so broken and I hate knowing I did that to her. Right now i'm in my study trying to focus on my work. I gave up and sighed leaning back in my chair. I closed my eyes only for them to shot open seconds later by voices outside my window. I quickly got up and saw three big men surrounded a girl and then they punched her! Guys can't hit girls, It's actually a serious crime here in Auradon, so I ran downstairs and out the door when I heard them talk.
"Well well well, isn't it the kings bitch." only our close friends know about our break-up, so Mal is still Lady of the Court.
"please leave me alone" Mal begged.
The guys laughed and punched her in her guy, she let out a huge gasp and that's when i lost it. Nobody hurts my Mal!
I roared loudly gaining everyone's attention and started growling dangerously low. The men ran away and Mal backed up, only for me to stop her.
Mal's pov:
"p-please dont l-leave me again, plea-please!" Ben whimpered like a baby, I could see the tears in his eyes as they slid down his cheeks.
The last two months made me realize Ben completes me, I'm failing classes and I've been so stressed i'm starting to get sick. I looked up at Ben and ran into his arms wrapping my arms around his neck. He instantly held me and planted kisses all around my face. He set  me down only for to concern to fill his eyes.
"Mal! your so pale! what happened? are you ok? did i do something? Sh-" I cut him off and told him about how i've been feeling weak and I've been so stressed with school. Once i finished be held me in his arms again.
"Don't worry about anything my love, cmon you need some rest." He picked me up bridal style and ran to his room, placing me softly on my purple bed in my room from when I was healing. He tucked me under the covers before planting a kiss on my temple. "I'll be here when you wake up love" and with that I let the darkness come over me...
I woke up what feels like days later and Ben was at my desk going through my backpack and putting my folders away. "Hey" my voice was hoarse as i tried sitting up but failed "Hey" he smiled and came over and helped me sit up. "how'd you sleep" i smiled at him "pretty good" he chuckled and looked over at my desk "I um did your homework for you. I also called Fairy Godmother and explained everything, she's giving you two weeks off to recover." I smiled widely "thank you, can you um get me some water." He nodded and ran into the mini kitchen in my room. "So what do you do while I was peacefully sleeping" I smirked he looked at my and playfully glared "Well..."

Ben's Pov:
While my precious angel was asleep I had one of my guards go and fetch her backpack. I took out her notebooks and pencils and started writing down all the answers to her homework, I have a secret talent that nobody knows about because if they find out most likely they will use me to do all their homework, which is a tad bit annoying. I can basically write in anyone's writing so it looks like their hand writing. After I finished her last essay I decided I would call FG
"Hey Fairy Godmother"
"Hello King Ben, is there something wrong?" FG asked
"Well i'm just wondering if you can let Mal take the next two weeks off, she's not feeling so great and I think she needs time to recover." I spun around in her chair so I could face her.
"Of course Dear! I as well noticed Mal's change in behavior, as she's recovering make sure she eats at least three meals no less throughout the day, i've noticed how skinny she has gotten."
"Thank you fairy Godmother,have a lovely day!"
"You too benjamin"

I turned back to her desk and sighed. When I noticed a note on her math notebook.

I'm coming for you Mallory, Just wait!
