Prologue

My back popped and alined my spine as I shifted back from one of my many forms, the wolf. I don't know what I am, but I do know what I can do..... I'm a shifter of some sort, turning into any animal I wish. But that's not all, I can also turn into mythical creatures too. I have never seen another like me in my time. So am I the last one of my kind?

Chapter 1

I woke up to the smell of coffee.

My bed dipped as the weight of someone got on my bed as the smell of coffee got stronger. " Wake up sleeping beauty. " I opened my eyes just a crack to see who it was. It was my best friend Ruins. I sat up just a bit and took the cup from him taking a sip. " Oh Ruins your a life saver." I said closing my eyes taking another sip " Of corse it's what I do, I have been saving your ass since kindergarten. " he said putting his arm around me. " So what's on today's agenda? " I asked " Oh just 6 or 7 hours of hell then a short car ride to the movies since its Friday." He said. I sat up a little straiter. " Oh no we have that project due today." I said totally forgetting the major project of the semester. " Like I said saving your ass since kindergarten." He said with a smirk I looked around my room and saw it in the corner all finished. " I owe you one." I said kissing his check then looking at the time. " Time to get ready for school." I said with a grown "

Take my coffee and meet me down stairs and start to make breakfast please" I said while getting out of bed and heading for my walk in closet. " Of corse it's are morning routine. So do you want jam or Nutella on your toast this morning?" " Nutella! " I said from my closet looking for what to wear. I settled on a plain purple T-shirt and black skinny jeans with black high tops converse and a black necklace chain with a bullet at the end. I did my make up that always consist of mascara, eye liner, blush and a bit of lip gloss. My snake bites complete my emo/scene look. I went down stairs and finally got to see what Ruins was wearing. He had on a tight solid purple shirt and black skinny jeans, black converse and a black and white checkered belt and black expenders hanging from his hips clipped on his belt loops. " Hey, we kind of match. " I said " We always kind of match, I don't know why but we do. I think you do it on purpose. " he said putting the Nutella on both of our toast " No I think we have been best friends for to long." I said laughing getting drinks for us " Orange juice or milk? " I asked opening the fridge looking for both. " There's nothing like milk with Nutella, so milk. " he said. I got the milk and sat down to eat. Once we finished I got the project and my bag from my room into the car. " Oh my baby, ready to go?" I said kissing my car's hood. I got it for my 16th birthday, a Boss 302 Mustang in green. " So are you ever going to let me drive your car? " Ruins said while getting in. " Never, it's my baby." I said while bringing the engine to life. Once we got to school we went to his locker than mine and headed to 1st period with the project. " I hope we do good." I said worrying probably more than I should. " Of corse Angel we always do good. " we walked in taking are seats in the back of the class like usual. " Good Morning class, today we will be presenting the projects for the major grade of the semester. Now we will go from the back of the class to the front this time. " she said " Shit." I whispered to Ruins, " don't worry, we'll do good." He said putting his arm around me to settle me. " First up is Sandy and Mickie." She said holding a clipboard in her boney fingers. " Alright, today our project is about the land scape and geography of Mississippi." Mickie said while pointing to there poster board 3D scale model. They went on about how they did it and where they found there information. " Very good, now next is Ruins and Angel." I was so nerves I thought I could shift into a mouse and skerry out of there. Ruins knew of my worry so he started to lead. " So we did a 4D scale model of California's land scape and geography." He said pointing to our excellent project, maybe we were ok after all, I mean we had running water and every thing. " Yes, we planned out every little detail and made sure it was perfect." I said glad to get some of it over with. We talked more about it then we were finally done. " Thank you for that wonderful presentation." She said. We went to are seats and sat down. " I'm so glad it's over with." I said slumping in my chair. " Yup, now all we have to do is get threw the other classes then were home free!" He said while using hand motions. The period dragged on from then and about 17 people presented that class period. The rest was going to present on Monday. 'Ring Ring' " Alright class see y'all on Monday." We went threw all the boring periods then lunch came. We walked in side by side. " I'll get the pizza and you get the drinks." He said while walking to the lunch line, Fridays are our pizza for lunch, than a movie after school while going to our favorite fast food place, Taco Bell. I got the Dr.Pepper's and went to our lunch table. " Hey Kim, Olen, Adam, Seth, Grace and Ivy." I said while sitting down in one of the two empty seats left for me and Ruins. " Hey, so what movie are we seeing tonight?" Adam asked while picking up a French Fri to eat. I quickly stole it from him and popped it in my mouth. " Hey I was going to eat that!" He said pouting making the back of his spider bites more noticeable. Oh we had a thing in our circle that you had to get some form of lip piercing. Adam has spider bites, Olen has canine bites, Kim has dolphin bites, Seth has shark bites,Grace has cyber bites, Ivy has dahlia bites, I have snake bites and Ruins has angel bites. " I was thinking about a horror movie sense last time we saw a comedy." Said Kim sipping her sprite. We all agreed then continued eating. " Don't look now, queen bitch is coming." Said Ivy looking with hateful eyes at Lila. She and her group of plastics walk are way. She stepped closer until she was right in front of me. " What do you want Lila?" I said glaring at her. " For you to drop dead." She said while examining her fake nails. " well aren't you heartless, go run along with your group. Oh and I would stay inside to day it's awful hot out, wouldn't want y'all to melt." I said with a smirk. " This isn't over freak." She said and walked of. I can't wait till the end of the day.
