Exotica lays in the bed that is not her own. She tosses and turns, signing then moving her position. She bites the inside of her cheek, she sighs, turns again, and then her eyes close as she falls into a fitful sleep. Someone snaps, and a boy appears out of thin air. He giggles, and rubs his hands, as he looks around a living room, where a man lays on his couch, snoring and twitching. He slips over to the man, and crouchs next to him, he puts two fingers on the man's temple. A black liquid seeps into the man's forehead, and the man starts twitching and chokes on his own spit. The man's body spasms, and his soul seeps into the boys skin.
He inhales in delight. "AAAAAAHHHHHHHHH!" A girl yells behind him. He turns around, the man's blood on his fingers. He stands up, walks over to the girl, he sizes her up, digging his claws in her arms. He slams her against the wall, and he hisses and then he pulls toward her and he sinks his fangs into her neck. And her soul seeps into his body. CLUNK, her body falls to the floor, the life seeped out of her. The boy smiles at her lifeless body, and he pulls out his cloak and closes the blood-red clasp and his wings unfurl as he climbs out the window and flys out finds his next victim. "BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP"
The alarm clock next to Exotica's bed go's off and she jolts awake her hair slapping her face. And a knock sounds at her door. "Exotica?" Jax's voice filters though the door. "Are you awake?" He says, compassionate but worried. She groans, rubs her eyes, and she rolls over to face the door. She sits up on the bed and with a groan, she heaves herself and walks over to the door. She swings the door open and she says, raising an eyebrow, "Ugh. What do you wan-" she stops, suddenly, trailing her eye along his body, drinking in the sight of Jax in his dress shirt and beige slack. "I-" She says and clears her throat and looks him in the eyes and narrows them. "Like I said before, what do you want?" She says, empathizing every word. "I had to see if you were awake." Jax says, smiling, biting his lip in nervousness. "And why do you have to wake me up for." She says, crossing her arms, and raising an eyebrow. "I have to show you the ropes, like y'know how everything works." Jax says. She snorts. "That's the least your worries, Jax."
She says, rolling her eyes. She closes the door and she slogs over to the closet and picks out a low-cut sundress, the color of a rainbow. As walks to the door, she scans the room, then she sees a small date. She cocks her head and walks to it. She bends down and slowly pulls out the cage. ARFFFFFFFFF! Her dog barks at her, panting at the sight of his owner. She smiles, opens the cage, and pulls her dog out. Her dog licks her face and wiggles, and her smile grows broader. "Hey buddy." She whispers into his fur. He arfs, panting, licking her face. She feels around the cage, and she finds a leash. She clips in around his collar. She walks over to the door, her dog trailing behind her. "I see you've find my gift." Jax says, crouching to her dog, rubbing his furry head. She gasps. "Y-you brought him?" She says, suprised. He shrugs and smiles. "It's the least I could do, with you, willing to give up everything to help us." He says. She snorts. "I only did this to get away from the bullshit of a dad. So don't get your hopes up." She says.
"What even is this place? Do y'all idiots even do?" She asks, looking down the bleached white hallways. "Well we're going to breakfast, it's the biggest room here." He replies, smiling. "Uggghhhh." She groans, "Stop with that fake, chipper, happy facade. It's really getting on my nerves." She rolls her eyes in digust. "Well not all of us can be so fucking mope-y and depressed, like you." Jax deadpans, being as chipper as a broken TV. Exotica opens her mouth, then closes it. "whatever..." She mumbles, slinking towards him. They get to the end of the hallway, and walk to a large cafeteria, filled with kids of all ages, ranging from 3-67. "Whoooooa..." Exotica says, looking around the room as they enter it, her mouth watering all the sight of all the food. Plies of bacon and sausages in a huge pan, scrambled eggs, pancakes, waffles in another pan.
Fruits and drinks as far as the eye can see, breakfast wraps and burritos plied high. She exhales. She'd never seen this much food, seeing as her dad barely fed her enough it was, she'd always had to scavenge for her food, eating trash off the streets. Jax smiles and laughs, and she jumps, forgetting that he was behind her. "Can I..?" She asks, tentatively. He laughs, his eyes wrinkling. "Sure." He says. Then she bolts to the food, grabbing a plate, she shovels plies of food on her plate. Jax shakes his head, laughing. When she finishes, she sits next to Jax. "I need to file some paperwork." Jax says, winking at her. "You should go mingle. I'll come back later and see how your faring." He whispers in her ear, and his lips accidentally brush her ear. He salutes her and runs to his office.
