It has been two long weeks and Natasha and Damien had not talked to each other. Damien would pick Natasha up from school and also picked Sallie up because she was living nearby. Sallie was happy as she was able to go home with her best friend unlike the previous days when she had to walk home alone. After a few days, Sallie saw a change in Natasha. Her best friend did not look as happy as before. The car rides back and forth to school and home was even quieter than before. Natasha and Damien never looked at each other. Sallie had seen that Natasha tried to talk to Damien but he would just avoid her. Natasha just looked sadder day by day. She wanted to know what was wrong with her best friend. One day, Sallie asked Natasha about it when they were in Natasha's bedroom.

"Natasha, what's wrong with you? You seem down these past few days."

"It's nothing, Sallie. I'm just feeling tired." Natasha replied. But, deep down, Sallie knew Natasha was hiding something. And it must be about Damien.

" Don't you lie to me, Natasha Lynn Giroux Watson! We've been friends for 9 years and I am really aware if you're hiding anything from me. I feel hurt that you are not letting me help you out when you're feeling miserable. Did Damien made you mad? I swear I'm going to..." Sallie was angry and about to storm off to Damien but Natasha held her hand to stop Sallie. Since, Sallie was facing the bedroom door, Natasha could not see that Sallie was smiling. She knew that was the only way to convince Natasha to tell her the truth.

"Sallie, please. I'm so sorry that I didn't tell you about this. It's just an argument between me and Damien. But, he isn't wrong. It was entirely my fault." Natasha said as she cried.

Sallie turned around and wiped the tears from Natasha's face. " It was your fault? What happened? Don't cry." Sallie brought her friend to sit on the bed and waited for her to talk.

" It was right after the wedding. After Damien showed me around the house, I took a bath is the tub but I slept until it was at night. I got out of the tub quickly but I fell down and hurt my knee. I just got up and dressed up, not noticing that my knee was bleeding. Then, when Ii came to the living room, Damien saw my knee which was bleeding. he got the first aid kit and wanted to treat my wound. But, I was dumb. I was still mad about the wedding and didn't allow him to do so. But he insisted and I just snapped at him. He was so disappointed and left. I treated my wound and ate dinner. I really felt bad for hurting him and decided to apologise. But, whenever I tried speaking to him, he avoided me." Natasha said to Sallie. Sallie sighed. She knew that Natasha had anger issues and she had advised her best friend to control her anger. Now, her best friend was hurt because of her own anger.

"Natasha, I did tell you a million times that you must control that anger of yours. Now, that anger has caused you trouble with your husband. But, it's okay. Damien would forgive you one day." Sallie said and hugged Natasha.

" Now, take a nap. You'll feel better." Natasha laid on her bed and Sallie sat beside her until she fell asleep. Then, Sallie walked out of the bedroom and saw Damien in his study. She knocked on the door.

"Who's there?" Damien asked.

"Sallie. Can I come in?" Damien opened the door and ushered her in. The room had grey walls and the shelves were tall and black. Damien's table was in the middle of the room and it was topped with glass. The room overall looked simple but professional. He sat on his chair and Natasha sat opposite him.

"So why did you want to see me?" Damien asked Sallie.

"Damien, I had to talk to you about Natasha. She just told me what had happened the other day. She felt really bad for treating you in such a way and wanted to apologise but you keep avoiding her. You did not give her a chance to apologise for her mistake. Now, she looks even miserable than the wedding. I'm not blaming you entirely as I know it was also her fault. But, don't you think you're going too hard on her? I can't see her crying every day"

Damien just sat at his chair, listening to Sallie quietly. He closed his eyes, took a deep breath and began."Sallie, I understand why Natasha behaved in such way. I was just a little disappointed by her words. It's just that I don't know what I will do if she spoke to me. Would I yell at her or do something she hates? I really don't know. That's why I have been avoiding her. I was never mad at her because of the vow I made at the wedding."

"The wedding vows you exchanged with her?" Natasha did not understand what Damien was trying to say.

" No, not that. I made a vow to myself when she was walking down the aisle. I promised myself that Natasha would live as happy as she was before the wedding. And I really took my vows seriously."

"So, you like Natasha?" Sallie was getting the vibe that Damien liked Natasha.

"Consider it love at first sight. I really want her to be happy but I just don't know what will I do when I talk to her? I really feel bad that I didn't keep up to the promise I made to myself."

"Oh my gosh. Natasha should be lucky to have Damien as her husband."Sallie thought to herself.

"Okay, Damien. I'll make a move now. Let me remind you that I don't want to see Natasha sad again." Sallie said as she walked out of the study. Damn, the lives of these newlyweds were so complicated. One was so upset for hurting her husband's feelings and one was afraid to hurt his wife if she were to speak to him. Anyone could get a headache thinking about this.
