A Guardian Angel.
Many people believe that guardian angels are angels sent by God to look over them. They are there to help you and protect you and keep you from harm. However I believe that implies that nothing can ever hurt you, they will have to be as perfect as the God that made them. You'd never be hurt.
I'm not a religious person. However I do believe that their are guardian angels. Except these guardian angels are human and the people in your life. A family member, your best friend or the love of your life. Those people are your guardian angels.
Those are the people that are there for you when you need someone to hold you. When you need someone to look you in the eye and know you that well to know that you are not ok. The people that cannot protect you from the bad, as much as they want to. But promise to be along side you to help you through it. They can't solve your problems for you. They are your problems but they are there to cheer you on and just hug you. They are the people that you can be completely yourself with, not caring about weather your hairs done right or if you've got no make up on, whether you have the newest fashion and gadgets, or if you are rich or poor. They don't care about that. They care about you as a person, your personality and your feelings. They want to know you inside and out. They don't care if you had a bad past or have made mistakes. You're human that's what we do. They support you when you need it. If you're down they make time for them to make them better. Because let's face it, if you aren't going to help your best friend when they need it. Why the hell are you friends with them.
They make sure when you're in a dark place that you are not alone.
I don't believe there's a definition of love. It's stereotyped in to many different ways. Love is different for everyone.
My guardian angel. Well it's my best friend.
They've seen me at my worst and still thought everything was beautiful. They've seen me when I'm down, and just pulled me into their arms and hugged me tight. They couldn't make the problem go away. But they could give me the strength to go on.
They've seen me at my best and smiled the brightest and been the proudest at my accomplishments.
They've been through tough times too. But I've made sure they were never alone.
It's things like weird conversations late into the night and finding things that make them smile.
I look at my best friend and think I am so lucky.
And I love my best friend and I never want to lose them.
Your guardian angel is human. They are as imperfect as you are. And there is a beauty about that that makes it perfect. Which is ironic.
They make mistakes just like you.
But in the end you wouldn't care.
