Colin's POV: trigger warning

I'm frozen with shock! She looks at me worried and we both just realized I said her name. Fuck what now! "I'm sorry have we met?" Shit fuck dammit think Colin think.... I got nothing. "Sorry no I umm I gotta go excuse me." I quickly walk around  her and rush out the door. What the fuck was that? Did Carter seriously already call her in? Hell she looks a lot like me aside from the hair. I text Matt "I just saw her she's in the building now!" Maybe he has advice. He quickly replies "hang on I gotta see this!" What the hell matt that doesn't help! I continue to walk towards the garage when I suddenly remember my car is now in the shop, ok time to hail a cab. When I get in the cab I give the driver my address. Halfway home I get a text from Matt " Ok don't get angry..." What did that dumbass do? "Why?" "I saw her and let me just say the picture you showed me does not do her justice at all! She's like a freaking angel man!" I know she's beautiful but i also know Matt "I swear Matt you try anything with my sister you'll be getting your meals through a tube!" "Whoa calm down I'm not gonna try anything yet. I'm at least gonna let you get to know her first!" I'm sorry what did this bastard just say, ok I've had enough so I just ignore him. As I get to my apartment I go in and notice Doris is still home. I immediately wrap my arms around her waist. "Hey baby what are you doing home so early?" "can we sit this is gonna take a bit wait hold on let me call Adam it's better if I tell you both at once." I grab my phone and dial Adams number "Hello?" "Hey Adam do you think you can come over I have something important to discuss with you and Doris?" Adam yawns I guess I woke him up "Yeah man I'll be there in half an hour!" Thirty minuets later there's a knock on the door and Adam walks in. Holy shit for once he's on time! "Hey Colin what's so important that I had to come right away? Did you get a call from the producer is something wrong with the album?" Doris looks up from the couch worried "What's going on Colin?" I take a seat next to Doris and begin telling them about my morning starting from my accident to all that happened in Carters office. When I'm done they both looked shocked, Adam blows out a gust of air and Doris is now up and pacing. Adam finally speaks "Damn, I didn't expect that. What are you going to do are you going to meet her at least?" Doris glares at Adam "Hold on how do we know any of this is true?" That's when I pull out the folder with all of her information I reach in and grab our birth certificates and her picture. Upon seeing this both Adam and Doris' eyes look ready to pop out of their heads. Adam then laughs "Yep y'all are definitely related!" Doris studies the picture "she looks just like you Colin aside from her hair but that's obviously dyed." I nod "there's more. I ran into her today, literally. I was leaving Carter Corp right as she was coming in and I spilled my coffee all over the both of us!" That's when I remember I'm still in my work clothes and we all look down and see the coffee stain on my shirt. Adam busts up laughing "Oh that's some luck I can only imagine her laying into you for that!" "That's just it, she didn't. She was more focused on making sure I'm ok and even said she'd pay for my dry cleaning." I chuckle at the memory. She was so sweet she still had a good amount of innocence in her despite what all she's been through. She's the exact opposite of me. Doris sighs "What are you going to do?" I shrug "I would like to get to know her. I'd love it if she was apart of my life I think." She smiles and places a hand on my shoulder "Well if that's what you want then we will support you all the way!"  Adam eagerly nods "Yeah man I mean your family is our family so technically Rylie is gonna gain TWO brothers and a sister!" "Holy shit!" I jump and notice Doris is looking through the folder and has tears in her eyes. "Doris Baby close that. Y'all don't need to see all that!" Doris ignores me and slides the folder for Adam to see who in turn suddenly looks ready to kill. "What the fuck is all of this Colin?" I sigh "it's her history, everything she's been through while in the system." "Who is Brian Dennings?" This grabs my attention "What?" Adam points to a page in the folder it's a wrap sheet for one Brian Dennings who was arrested for ,false imprisonment, assault of a minor, sexual assault and rape. This fucker.... he's the one who raped my sister. But why would they add this in the folder? I continue reading and find what I'm looking for. His release date January 18th 2019. He's out early on parole for good behavior. At this point I forget Doris and Adam are here I walk straight to my room and log into my computer. I look up Brian Dennings and instantly get a news paper article "Football star found guilty of rape sentenced to fifteen years!" This bastard shouldn't be out but there is nothing I can do about it except keep a close eye on Rylie. I go to Facebook and see if he has a page. Oh lookie there he does. At the moment it says he moved to Bexley Ohio, good as long as he stays there it will all be ok! I go to log out but something stops me. I decide to look up Rylie when I find her page I can't help but chuckle at her profile picture. She's dressed in a yellow and black robe that I can only assume is from Harry Potter and she's holding a snake in one hand and a wand in the other  smiling! She's from Phillipstown New York. She's also single, good no guys I need to worry about except Matt and Adam so far! As I continue to look through Rylie's pictures I notice something I like. She has quit a few rock and metal shirts from Skillet and Breaking Benjamin to Five Finger Death Punch and Slipknot! Thank God she has good taste in music, so that won't be an issue at all! Once I'm done I decided to send her a friend request and a message. "Hello, I just wanted to say sorry about the coffee thing. Also I look forward to working with you." And send. I go to logout but instantly get a reply from Rylie. "Hey! It's totally ok! I really should start paying more attention to where I'm going. I hope you don't mind me invading your office for a bit!" Wait what? Carter didn't mention we would be sharing an office. What is he up to? " Yeah that will be no issue. Well I got to go see you at work." I logout and go back into the living room. Adam is still there but Doris is gone, she probably left for work. "So what'd you find out?" "The guy is out of state so that's good. Rylie continues to surprise me though." Adam looks at me curious "what do you mean?" I smile "Well she's a bit nerdy, loves animals, and we won't be fighting over what to listen to in the car!" Adam laughs "I don't see why that's surprising, y'all are twins!" I can't seem to stop smiling now! Rylie is more like me than I thought! I can't wait for us to actually get to know one another!
