A warm golden light shined gently upon Loki's face. Slowly he opened his eyes to greet the new day. Sitting up, he realized he had overslept and it was now at least midday. "Oh well," he thought, "they can wait...after all I am king."

Finally raising out of bed, he swung his feet off the side, making them hit the cold floor. He now took his time putting on his armor, gently sliding his helmet over his head and putting on his black boots that were lined with gold. "Time to greet the common folk!" he said fastening his cape and grabbing his scepter before heading out the door.

As he walked down to the marketplace people stopped suddenly, dropped everything and got down on one knee. He smiled wickedly at the trembling peasants, it pleased him to know that he was the new face of fear.

This continued until he reached town square, where he arrived to make his daily speech about the true meaning of disobedience and how he had saved humanity from its self. His usual speech was seen in Asgard and broadcasted all across the nine realms, everyone was required to watch.

As he stepped upon the pedestal everyone stopped and dropped to one knee. Well...almost everyone.

Loki looked past the crowd to see a short girl (who had to be at least 16) walking rhythmically as she sung a song that he could have sworn he had heard before.

She had poofy black hair that stretched a little past her shoulders and although he couldn't see her face, she appeared troubled.

"Excuse me!" Loki yelled. But instead of joining the crowd, she threw up both middle fingers and continued walking.
This infuriated Loki.

One of the royal servants looked up at him with great concern, seeing that his king was in fact greatly displeased he finally spoke up. "Would you like me to handle the problem sir?" The servant asked with a shaky voice.

"NO," Loki spat as he slammed his fist on the pedestal, making his servant jump. "I shale handle this on my own." He quickly stormed off after the girl, leaving everyone else behind.

Loki was finally able to catch up with her. But by this point she was already halfway across the rainbow bridge still walking rhythmically along and singing the same, sweet tune. He some how knew that he had heard it somewhere, but where?

"Come little children, I'll take thee away, into a land of enchantment.
Come little children, The time's come to play, here in my garden of shadows."

She sung beautifully and as Loki listened his anger faded. But now the girl's voice soon took a different tone. He couldn't tell for sure, but he was almost positive that her heard her crying.

"Follow sweet children, I'll show thee the way, through all the pain and the sorrows. Weep not poor children, for life is this way, murdering beauty and passions."

She sounded heartbroken, and for some reason Loki had the urge to hold her close and take away her pain.

" Hush now dear children, It must be this way, to weary of life and deceptions. Rest now my children, For soon we'll away-"

And then she completely lost it.
There was a small thud as her knees hit the rainbow bridge. She began crying hysterically, hiding her face in her hands.

"Please don't cry." Loki (who had completely forgotten why he was upset) said, he sat down beside the girl and put his hand on her shoulder.

She turned to look at him, her eyes were now red and puffy but still just as beautiful.

Loki stopped just for a moment and stared into her eyes that were the brightest and most unnatural blue that he had ever seen. Then he knew, it was Skullora.
