Jim looked up at me in surprise. "Oh, uh..I, well-" he stuttered and mumbled. I titled my head in confusion. I couldn't tell if he was nervous or why. "What about the gym?" I asked him with a small smile on my face. He nodded quickly and he blinked rapidly. We stood facing each other in complete silence..again. "Should we go?..or?.." It felt odd that I had to push him to do things. He turned away from me quickly and started walking down the long, empty corridor. I followed him after a moment, gawking at all of the new surroundings.

After a while of walking in silence, Jim held open a large double door for me and waited for me to go in. I smiled and entered the room. I gasped at the large polished floor and scattered gym equipment. Jim laughed from somewhere behind me. "Have you never seen a gym?" He spoke sarcastically but I shook my head. "I've been homeschooled my whole life before today. Ive never steeped foot in a gymnasium before my first tour." By now, I had walked into the centre of the room and I was holding a vertical hanging rope in my hands.

Jim was standing beside me now. "Homeschooling must have been good, no people to deal with- uh, no people to be around! Ack! I mean no friends- no I mean-" I cut Jim off by laughing at his jumbled stuttering. He rubbed her neck sheepishly and looked up at me like a lost puppy. "Sorry, that's not what I meant.." I smiled and looked back at the rope. "It's fine. Homeschooling wasn't as good as people think it is. It can get lonely." I started drifting into my own world but Jim snapped me out if it.

"Are you looking forward to school here?" He asked. I just shrugged my shoulders and hoisted myself higher into the rope. I honestly didn't know how I felt about going to an actual school. I didn't know what to expect and that scared me. I was climbing the rope at a steady pace. Jim was talking but I wasn't really listening to what he was saying. Something about tubes...? Grinning, I reached the top of the rope and smacked the bell, announcing my accomplishment.

On the floor, Jim jokingly applauded me on my success. I slid down the rope a bit too quickly and got rope burn. I lost my grip about 2 meters from the floor and I yelled in surprise. I expected to hit the padded gym floor with a thud, but I didn't. I opened my tightly shut eyes and looked up. Jim caught me in his arms and I was staring up into his big blue eyes. I smiled and jumped from his arms. "Thanks. Hitting the floor probably would have hurt." I grinned and started heading towards the gym door. "You're the tour guide aren't you? Lead the way!"
