I looked at the flashing symbol on my laptop and pressed answer. Professor Kukui showed up and we spoke about Pokémon and Alola.
When we finally arrived it was nightime, so I went straight to bed. A few hours later, my mum's meowth woke me up. I grabbed my hat and bag before rushing downstairs and out the door calling a loud goodbye to my mum.
I walked towards the tall grass, carefully trying to avoid an encounter. However a pokémon came and attacked! I got into a fighting stance, when three pokémon came and stood in front of me! The pokémon fled and I turned to see Kukui! He introduced my rescuers as Rowlet, Litten, and Poplio. He told me to choose one to be my partner, and I instantly chose Litten. I chose to nickname it Lox.
Our first encounter was with a rattata but, it was different from the ones in Kanto. We defeated it but Lox was injured. I hoped I would be able to heal it.
