The hangar

I heard a big bang. Immediately, I went down to the floor behind the car. I didn't plan that to happen. Did they find out I'm a spy? I grabbed the Glock that was in my pocket and crawled closer to the car. It was quiet. I couldn't hear anything and I didn't see anyone. Where did they go? I looked around, then I stood up really careful. The Glock still in my shivering hand. I had to go into the hangar where I heard the shot coming from. Something happened in there and I had to know what.

While pressing my body to the wall, I walked closer to the entry of the hangar. Finally, I was able to risk a peek through the door. I saw blood, I saw bullets. I backed up a little bit. Still staring on the entry, I tried to grab my phone out of my pocket. The gun in the right hand, my phone in the other one. I pressed the panic button, it would immediately call my partner. I was nervous, something was wrong in here. With the button in my ear, I was hoping he was answering soon.

"Cat? What happened?", his voice sounded nervous. He knew I was doing something I shouldn't do; he tried to stop me, but I would've done it anyways.

"Can you buy the cake for tonight. We go to my sisters place"

I heard how a chair was moving, then I heard his steps; he was running. I was listening, still staring at the hangar.

"Sir! We need the troops. She's in trouble!", I heard him saying. Then I heard steps. No, not through the button in my ear. I turned around; staring into two brown eyes. I heard the shot of a gun again. Then there was pain, such a pain. My eyes got wider, I was looking down at my body. My clothes that got red, then I felt down. I was holding my stomach. The blood seeped through my fingers and colored my whole hands red. My clothes were soaked red within seconds.

"Cat? Are you still there? The cake is on its way."

I listened to his voice. The man was running away. My vision got blurry. Tears went down my cheeks.

"Cat? Cat? Are you okay? Cat!", the panic in his voice was growing.

"Help me, Dan...", I cried.

I didn't want to die. There was so much I wanted to do still. I was too young, only 22.

I stared at my hands holding the wound. They got more and more red. I couldn't even feel the pain; everything was numb.

"Cat? I'm on my way! What happened?!", he screamed into my ear.

"My blood is everywhere Dan! Help me, I don't wanna die!"

I tried to breathe properly, but breathing got difficult. My chest felt so heavy; like a rock was lying on it.

"You're not going to die! I'm almost there!", I could hear the car door slamming. I saw a shadow and then I saw him. I couldn't imagine how fast he was driving.

He knelt down immediately; I felt his hands taking my hands off the wound.

"Everything is fine; doesn't even look too bad.", he laughed sarcastically. I looked at him; but, I couldn't see much, everything was blurry.

"You're a bad liar...You always were", I whispered.

He wrapped his jacket around my stomach.

I heard a car coming.

"Shit! We're getting company.", he said.

"What? Who?", I screamed in panic. I tried to move but I couldn't, everything was just numb.

Dan stood up. His hands grabbed me under my legs and my back, then he lifted me up. The pain was going through my body like lightening. I wanted to scream, but I couldn't.

"Let's go, Cat."

He started to run to his car. The SWAT team wasn't fast enough. If there were already here I was probably on my way to the hospital already; but, I am not such a lucky person.

Next, everything went black. I faded.
