NICO POV:

(nico is around 5 and bianca is around 15)

"Bianca?"

"Yes, Neeks?"

"What color is this?" I asked, shoving the grayish-white pencil crayon in her face.

She laughed. "That, is yellow."

I grinned, dropping the pencil crayon and cIimbing on her lap.

"What does yellow look like?" I asked, fidgeting with my fingers as she wrapped her arms around me.

Bianca smiled and shook her head, ruffling my hair. "You'll find out soon enough. Don't wanna ruin the surprise for you."

I looked up at her. "But how do I know it's yellow?" I asked her.

"You just know, you know? It's like . . . I can't really describe it, but . . . when you see the color yellow, your brain screams, YELLOW! And when you see the color red, your brain screams RED! And so on." Bianca then laughed. "Don't worry, you'll see the colors too when you get older."

I wriggled in her grasp so I could be hugging her back. "But you only see color when you find your soulmate. And I don't have a soulmate."

I could literally see Bianca frowning as she spoke. "Nico, don't think like that! Of course you have a soulmate!"

I sighed, burrowing my head in her long, silky hair. "Okay," I said, the word coming out muffled.

(nico is now in high school)

"Nico! Wait up!" I heard Percy behind me, and I grumbled under my breath, turning around.

"Yeah?"

Percy didn't even falter at my murderous glare, not seeming intimidated by me at least one bit. But that was probably because he was almost a foot taller than me.

I faintly shrieked as Percy swung his arm around me, leading me towards his table. "Come sit with us!" He exclaimed as I tried to escape his grip.

"No thank you, I am fine with sitting at my table. By. My. SELF."

Percy just laughed it off, plopping me down between Jason and him.

"So," Jason looked at me with a playful twinkle in his eyes. "Find your guy yet?"

I groaned and banged my head on the table.

"Ouch," I muttered.

After lunch, I went back to my dorm, where I found Will laying on his bed, wrapped in a blanket and reading a book.

"Hey," I smiled, shrugging off my backpack.

He turned to me, grinning. "Do they know yet?"

I laughed. "No, of course not."

His grin widened.

"They'll be in for a surprise when they do find out," he laughed.

"I guess so," I chuckled, staring into his beautiful ocean eyes.

(the next day)

I made my way to my locker, where Percy was waiting for me, his arms folded and a smug look on his face. Jason was right next to him, hands on his hips, with one of his eyebrows raised.

"What?" I asked, amused.

"What color is this?" Jason demanded, pointing to my brown locker.

"Darkish-gray," I answered nervously, shrugging.

"Oh yeah?" Percy grinned evilly. "Why don't you tell that to Will?"

I gulped, laughing nervously. "W-what are you guys talking about?"

Percy raised his eyebrows, not buying it, and Jason stared at me suspiciously.

At that exact moment, Will passed by, and I grabbed him by the shoulder and hauled him next to me.

Will's eyes widened in surprised as he looked between Percy and Jason.

"Look, see?" I said, poking Will. "I touch him. I see nothing but grey. Grey, grey, black, white, and more grey."

Jason and Percy both grinned madly, staring at us. "Stop trying to convince us, we eavesdropped yesterday." Percy smirked.

"Yeah," Jason laughed. "We were hiding in the vents."

Both Will and I turned red, and I could hear Will softly cursing under his breath while I weakly groaned.

"So it IS true!" Jason said smugly, grinning from ear to ear.

I mumbled something about having to go, grabbing hold of Will and fleeing as Jason and Percy high-fived each other, screaming their heads off.

"What was that all about?" Will hissed as we ran to our classes.

"No idea."

Will chuckled. "Did you manage to hear what they said as we ran out of there?"

I nodded. "Yeah, but it didn't make a lot of sense. They kept screeching 'Sun Angel' in Italian over and over. Talking about some kind of ship too."

"Ship as in a boat of some sort?"

I shrugged. "Dunno."

"Well, the secret is out either way," Will grinned, grabbing my hand.

"Yeah. I guess it is." I smiled back, intertwining our fingers.
