To Leave And Let Go

The phone rings and Lex runs towards it to pick it up, he has been expecting the call from the love of his life, he has no idea that this call is about to wreck his heart and all that he feels

Jake picks "hello Suzie been waiting on your call, so what's the final decision are you staying"

There's a pause for a moment...

Suzie's voice on the other end of the phone is a bit gloomy, she does not sound as enthusiastic as Lex "Lex it isn't good news, my dad wants me to go to the military academy, and I'm not going to be back for a while"

On hearing this Lex is so distraught and his mood changed as swift as that of a bipolar patient, Lex's plans before school was to be with his girlfriend before they both leave for school, hoping that she would be in the college just a few miles away from him, but fate had other plans and Suzie is forced to go to the military academy and continue the family line of soldiers, her father is a retired commander Jeffrey Randall and since he was unable to have a male child or any child at all.

All his hopes and dreams of his family still being a military family rest upon his daughter "Susan Randall"

This situation has put a huge dent in her relationship with her high school sweetheart "Alexander Brooke" the son of a medical doctor, Mr Brooke Church is a renowned physician in the city.

Lex and Susan have known each other and loved each other for a very long time, since they were kids and now they were older, the two had planned their whole life together, to grow old and have babies together, but it seems all their plans had crumbled

After they both hang up over an unconcluded conversation Lex is left to his pain in his room, he lays on the bed flat face to the ceiling as he watches the constellation of the stars that is plastered on his ceiling, he begins to reminisce on the good old days, of how he had met Suzie at school in the 6th grade he recalls how he started out as a bully to the girl, he liked her from the first day he saw her but he always never knew how to let his feelings show, coming from a family of 4 and he was the last born always being bullied by his elder brothers, he always knew that he wanted no part in being a bully but that was all he knew....

He was Suzie's bully until she stood up to him in front of the whole school, he thought that was the most embarrassing thing that ever happened to him, but he also knew that was the most beautiful thing he had seen because he thought

"how could a rose be so red and beautiful and yet so spikey enough to protect itself"

he didn't understand how someone who looked so weak and obviously would have lost a fist fight with him be so bold to stand up to him in such a way.

From that moment he fell in love "in a hopeless place" if i might say

The next day after she had stood up to him, he walked up to her just after class and said "hi" her response was "owh you know how to say the words" and she walked right past him, knowing that he couldn't let her sleep through his hands, he went after her and gave an apology

"I'm so sorry i was such an asshole to you, i didn't mean to be that way" thinking that his apology meant all was well he extended a hand to her but she turned around and kept going, he went home, unable to eat or lay with his friends, his close friend "Robb" who had always been with him, even made jokes from his situation.

The day after that at school he was sitting 8n class, looking around but he didn't see Suzie, "where could she be" to he thought, then suddenly he felt a touch on his shoulder and when he turned he sees a soft hand that looked like the hands of a beautiful goddess when he looked higher and saw the face of an angel "he thought" it was Suzie, and she said "I forgive you" that must've been the best day of his life

Lex snaps out of his thinking and gets up from his bed, he goes out to meet the rest of his family for lunch at the dinning.
