I leaned back on my chair and looked outside the window.
This life just doesn't get any better day after day. But don't lose hope. You're sitting near the window. Yeah. But those people only exist in anime. In real life, it doesn't matter how close you are to the window.
But sometimes, it makes me think that I'm better off living in an anime where everyone gets an extraordinary life when they meet this super cute animal or when they meet weird people on the streets that end up living in with you.
Geez, anime. People say anime is a waste of time. Keep talking. You haven't watched any so I understand why you'd say that. I've been there before. When I haven't found anime in my life yet.
It was a real obstacle. I have nothing to entertain myself with. Well, I had books but I grew tired of reading them over and over again.
Thanks to my cousin for introducing anime to me. We really get along well. Thanks to anime, I forget my depressing life in school and somehow enjoy life.
"Ms. Ayasaki!"
And there I hear my math teacher calling my name.
I looked away from the window and directed my vision to her.
"Please stand." she ordered.
I did she told me.
"I see that you are not listening again. Please answer this equation on the board."
I went over to the board, took a chalk and solved for it. It was honestly easy since we went over this topic again and again.
I took my seat and looked back at the window.
"You know, you're intelligent. You'd actually pass your subjects if you tried." the teacher said.
Yeah. I failed my Math not because it was hard for me to understand. But because I don't try myself at it. I don't pass my projects on time and sometimes I never even pass it at all. I sleep during quizzes and when the hour is over, I pass my paper empty and without even my name on it. I do the same to the other subjects. Nothing seems to interest me more than anime.
It may be bad to fail five subjects but I make sure of one thing. I learn something. When the teacher discusses a lesson, I listen. When the moment I get it comes, I lose interest in it and don't do the activities that follow. All that matters to me is to understand it. Grades doesn't even matter. I'd end up competing with those nerds if it did.
Anyways, so much for that. I looked at the wall clock at the very back of our classroom and noticed that Math time's nearly over. Hooray. The last subject is almost over.
.....
I fixed my stuff and put everything in my bag. It was dismissal already. And here comes the part I hate. Checking my locker.
The moment I opened it, trash fell down. And inside were vandalisms of all sorts.
This time, it was a bit okay because I had my stuff removed and placed it somewhere it'd be safe. Well, I guess I don't need a locker. I closed my locker and left the trash lying on the ground.
I let out a sigh as I walked down the corridor. I'm glad it was empty. Atleast I'd have some 'alone' time and a break from those b*tches.
At the end of the corridor, I saw a guy heading opposite the direction I was going. Maybe heading to the lockers.
As we passed by, we met each other's eyes. I looked away 'cause it felt awkward.
I know that guy. He is the same level as me. A 9th grader. He is from a different class though. Wait, if he's heading to the lockers I hope he doesn't mind the trash I left.
