It took hours before Mordred ran out of questions to ask, or at least she took a break from them, satisfied with what she had been told. There was still plenty of time left though so Mordred decided to help Asta with his training. While he may've been able to wield the sword that he had been given, he was slow and he had no technique. He had never used a sword before though so that was to be expected. She managed to teach him several basic forms and spar with him several times to increase his use of them in combat before the sky began to darken and Asta needed to return home. "Alright Master, but we'll train again tomorrow. You need to work hard if you want to be ready in time for the Magic Knight Entrance Exam."
"Yeah! I train everyday!" He declared, putting his sword back into his Grimoire. "And by the way can you stop calling me Master? It's weird."
"Sure, what do you want to be called?" Her armour suddenly burst into red energy and she was left standing with her sword in hand and dressed in strange looking clothes that he guessed were supposed to be casual. She had a white tube top with a half circle at the top with black trim, a necklace with a black cord and a silver pendant. Over that she wore a red jacket. She also had very short shorts, which barely covered her ass, held up with a black belt with a silver buckle and finally black boots. No longer in her armour he could see that she was in fact slightly shorter than him, not by much, only around a single centimetre, something that for some reason made him smile. Probably because everyone his age was taller than him.
"Asta!" He smiled as they started to walk back. "Also, how did you change your clothes?"
"Alright Asta." She agreed, falling in step beside him. "I can change my clothes because they're made from mana. All I need to do is think about it."
"Wow! That's so cool!" He looked at her with stars in his eyes at the mention of a little magic. "What else can you do?" He asked, the excitement never leaving his expression, the same as it did whenever he was talking about magic.
"Heh, I can do more than you can imagine Mas-Asta, but you'll get to see my powers when we fight someone for real." They continued to walk, talking every now and then, when either of them had something to say, but it was mostly just trying to understand one another and in Mordred's case increase her understanding of where she was. However, when they left the forest and Mordred looked behind them she spotted something she did not expect. A gigantic, monstrous head with what looked like three eyes and two massive horns protruding from the skull. She had never seen anything like it before.
Asta only noticed when he noticed that she was no longer beside him and turned back to see her standing there starring at it. "What is that?"
