6 months later.

Kara POV:

It's been 6 months since Barry went into the speed force. I haven't done much. Nora is growing up and of course she misses her dad.
My phone went off.
Oliver: need to talk to you. Bunker in an hour?
Me: ok
An hour went by and I hadn't moved. My door opened.
"I thought you said you were going to meet me at the bunker." Oliver said
"I didn't feel like moving." I said
"Kara we need to talk."
"So talk."
" it's been 6 months. The city wants to declare the flash as..." he couldn't finish his sentence.
"As dead." I said
"Yeah. Kara I'm so sorry."
"Do what you have to do." I said
" will you be there?"
"I was his wife. I guess I have to be." I said and went under the blanket again.

Oliver POV:

It was heartbreaking to see her like this again. It was like the first time. I went back to the bunker where everyone was.
"what's wrong?" Felicity asked
"The city is making me announce that the flash is gone today. They said it's been 6 months. We need to stop giving people hope that he'll come home." I said
"So what.. we just give up on uncle Barry? Believe that he's dead and never coming back? What about Nora and aunt Kara?" Mia asked
" yeah I mean why do we have to tell everyone he's dead.  Why can't we just tell them what happened?" William asked
"Because most people can't handle what we deal with on a daily basis." Dinah said
"She's right." Felicity said
"We have to protect them. From everything even if that means the truth." Laurel said
" we need to believe that Barry is at peace. We have to be there for nora and Kara. We have to be there for each other." I said
"I don't want to say goodbye to uncle Barry." Mia said upset.
"Come here." I said and she gave me a hug.

"None of us do sweetie."
" I can't imagine losing you dad." She said
