"I see I see," said the blind man to the deaf woman.

Danny and Shinx watched as the lion-like Pokémon ran out of the cave and out of their field of vision. The Pokémon that stayed behind either went back to talking with each other about how stupid it was for them to have to stay, sat down to glare at Danny, or simply laid down to rest- but the Pokémon that no one looked at was the one that ran in injured.

Danny couldn't believe that the other Pokémon didn't even bat an eye when the beaten Pokémon's breaths became labored and quickened. Danny put down Shinx and quickly went up to help the Pokémon (he was going to have to learn the name of their species soon). He made sure not to run at the Pokémon because he didn't want it to mistake him for a trainer or a threat and damage himself even more than he already was. Danny made sure to be in the Pokémon's line of vision the entire time- as to not freak him out when he suddenly appeared in front of it.

It was incredibly clear that the lion Pokémon didn't trust him one bit, and even tried to swipe a claw at him. Danny nearly got hit by the extended claws because he didn't see them, but he dodged pretty easily once he saw the claws coming at him in a low sweep.

Danny put both of his hands up to try and show that he wasn't a threat to the beaten Pokémon. The Pokémon glared at him intensely, and it wasn't until Shinx stood up next to Danny in a protective manner that the Pokémon then stopped glaring. Danny didn't notice Shinx until he felt the crackle of familiar electricity next to his leg. He gave a small smile as a silent thank you to his friend.

His attention snapped back to the injured Pokémon. Danny wanted to use one of his newer abilities, but this one particular drained him afterwards. "I'm just going to place my hand on your burn, it'll be cold and it's probably going to hurt for a minute. Would you mind if I did that? It'll heal you- well it should."

The Pokémon gave him an uneasy glance. He then looked at the other Pokémon that were simply laying down, not caring what was happening down where Danny and the Pokémon were. After a long while, he shook his head. "No, not from a human." It's words weren't venomous. They were simply stating a fact. But his mood changed pretty quickly, because as soon as he said the statement - he rolled his eyes and grunted.

Danny wasn't going to argue with the Pokémon. He was still a stranger and he was a human to put the cherry on top of the cake - or ice cream? "Okay, but what are you going to do about those wounds?" Danny asked the Pokémon.

He looked up at Danny's eyes. Did this human understand him and give him an intelligent response to a simple statement? To test his theory that the human could understand him without actually asking outright he said, "like I do every other time when I'm injured. Rest it off by the lake, but later, the human is probably still here."

Danny nodded to show that he was paying attention. So a human did this? He could ask about that later, his way of healing himself is concerning. "Well... is that what you all do when you're injured? Doesn't seem like a good idea since someone or something could attack while you're weak."

Shinx looked up at Danny with a weird look, almost as if we're common knowledge to know why the Pokémon doesn't get care. "Of course that's not what we all do. Luxray is one of the Pokémon that grew up without his caretaker. The clan only allowed him to rejoin when he evolved into a Luxray." Shinx stated simply.

Danny's brows furrowed for a couple reasons. One: was the species name Luxray? Two: Why was he kicked out? Because he didn't have a caretaker? Three: does that mean that he doesn't get the right care when he's injured? Four: what the hell was with these biased opinions? And why was he allowed back in if he was a Luxray? Wouldn't that be a threat to the clan itself? To let a feral cat back in the clan? He could've swore that he read it somewhere that lions kicked male cubs out of the pride so that it doesn't interfere with the already ruling male or males.
