〔 Crystal's P.O.V. 〕
When I took a step out of the car, I saw so many people. All the girls were so pretty too! I saw people registering their children and students walking around. Hm, I wonder who I'll talk to first?
Before I could even take another step forward, I was bumped into by someone. The two of us fell to the ground. When I looked up, it was a girl maybe around my age. She had brown eyes, long, black hair, a Gap t-shirt, a pair of jeans, and a grey hat atop her head.
"I'm so sorry! I guess I was really rushing!" The girl said as she pulled me off the ground. I dusted myself off and looked at her. "No, it's alright. You didn't mean to."
She had a look of releif on her face. "I'm so glad you're not mad at me, I'm Rose by the way." Rose stuck out her hand. "You have a very pretty name Rose, I'm Crystal." I said as I shook her hand.
"Do you have any idea where we're supposed to be?" Rose asked. I nodded and motioned for her to follow me. My parents told me that the first thing I should do is head to the gym where the big orientation thing starts.
As we stepped inside, we saw tons of decorations. There were streamers, balloons, banners, and also some confetti on the ground. A lot of older students were surrounding the entrance of the gym, cheering for the soon-to-be students that were entering. To our right were tables that had banners on the wall behind them. 'A-L', 'M-R', and 'R-Z' the banners read. I guess those were the tables were you'd get your name tag or something?
"Rose, what's your last name?" I asked her. "Thorness, why?" Rose replied. "You should head to the last table on the right, it's where your name tag might be." I said, pointing at the 'R-Z' table. She nodded and ran to the table I said and I followed after since mine might be there as well. There was a long line we had to wait in.
When we finally got to the front of the line, we saw sticker name tags on the table. Rose's and my name tag were next to each other. Well, they were on two different sheets, but they were on the edges where the two sheets met.
After I stuck my name tag on my teal shirt, I looked up to see where Rose was, but she was nowhere to be found. I panicked a bit. I just became friends with her and now I've lost her. Is this something that friends do? Anyway, I guess I'll find her later. I should probably start looking for a seat on the bleachers.
As I looked around for an empty space, a boy around Rose's height looked and smiled at me. I waved and then went back to searching for the best place to sit.
It took a while, but I had finally found the place to sit. It was in the middle row, not too far back and not too close. Plus, it was one of the cleanest seats.
After a bit, it was finally time for the event to begin.
