Guys I know I wrote this to be a  prologue, but I feel like it's way to long to be one. At the same time though, it's not like all the other chapters will be because this is her parents' story and ya so tell me what you think in the comments pleaseeee. Thanks! Have fun reading!

Waaaa! My little baby let out another cry. I looked down to where she rested on my arms and tickled her chin. She was beautiful. A gift of fluffy white hair was already growing on her head even though she had been born an hour ago. Her translucent skin flowed as if she's been dipped in moonlight; but despite her beauty, I couldn't stop crying.
"What will become our daughter?" I sobbed, " How will we hide her from the magistrates? "
My husband Charles put his hands on my shoulders and looked into my eyes "hey, hey" he said gently, "We both know that she will be fine. If we could keep our marriage a secret we can keep our beautiful daughter hidden as well."
His eyes were soft, but I could tell he was determined to keep our daughter safe. But things can happen and though my dear husband would try with all of his might, we could never guarantee her survival. It wasn't up to us.
Will she live with you, on earth, or here with me? " I asked sobbing and wiping my eyes on the sleeve of my robe. " I mean, I can't keep her here with me because everyone would ask so many questions. But if she goes down to earth with you... I would miss her too much. She's my daughter! She can't be kept away from me. It just isn't natural! It can't be that way! " Tears flew from my eyes and into my cheeks as I got more and more worked up. I didn't bother wiping them away, there was no point, I knew more would take their place.
But Charles gently wiped them away. "I know it's hard, I do! But we can't give up. You know that we won't be able to leave her with you and the only other option is her living with me. You would be able to visit her whenever you'd like thanks to that nifty button we installed that can detach part of your front lawn and drift it down to earth, and our daughter could live her life without even knowing that just the fact that she's alive goes against all the Wisp's customs. Even most of their laws! She could have a life of happiness would you really want to take that away from her?"
" No! I just... " I took a deep breath, "Will I really be able to visit her anytime I'd like?"
" Of course! I mean, you could come down whenever you wanted and I wouldn't know. You would very careful about how you talk to her though. If she finds out she's half cloud? Well that would be a disaster. " he said this lightheartedly, but I could tell he really did mean it. It really would be a disaster I thought.
"But how will I be able to visit her if she can't know who I am? I mean, I know that once I touch the ground my transparency will fade and if look human enough, but how am I supposed to keep the secret away from her. What if I slip and say something that makes her realize she's half wisp half human?"
" that's where your creativity comes in honey, " He said grazing my cheek with his fingertips, "You could make her think she's dreaming, maybe pretend you're an old lady passing by on a walk... it may be best to seven stay outa sight, but I'm sure you'll come up with something."
I knew that I wouldn't be able to talk directly to her, but when he suggested I just stay in the shadows it was like he poured ice on my brain. I realized just how much this would change my life. After today I wouldn't be able to have any contact with her. If I did talk to her or even let her see me there would be war and chaos between the Wisps and Humans.
"It pains me to say this, but... you're right," I sighed, contemplating my next words . Before I could stop my self I blurted out "And it pains me even more to say that you should leave now, before I get to attached to her. Just let me say goodbye first."
I looked down from her bright blue eyes to the little toes sticking out from the blankets I'd wrapped her in. Then I kissed her smooth forehead; a single tear falling down my cheek.
"Hey," Charles said softly, " Don't worry, alright? It's going to be fine. "
I nodded silently as my lips parted, "Goodbye Charles, goodbye... Raina?"
I looked back to Charles to see his reaction toward the name choice. He smiled at the word choice.
   " it's perfect. " he whispered.
I kissed Raina once more and together Charles and I walked out of my little cottage and onto the puffy cloud it had been built on.I put Raina into Charles arms and quickly have him a kiss on the cheek. He walked to steps backward, closer to the center of my front yard as I went over to one of my hanging flower pots. I pushed the button hidden behind it that Charles and I had installed secretly when we had started meeting (as the only way to be able to see each other) and turned to see the segment of cloud my husband had been standing in detach itself from the rest of my home and slowly start to float down toward earth.
Waving, I watched my hilarious husband disappear into the night as he rocked Raina in one arm and waved with the other. Silently shedding tears, I turned and walked back into my house in the clouds. Tonight will be a long night, I thought.
