A second year begins at Hogwarts, and you are happier than ever now. This time, returning back to your second home, you wouldn't feel out of place and lonely. However, something dark has been happening at Hogwarts, and so far, only Harry, Ron, Hermione, You, and Dumbledore know about it. You don't know if the end of the year was the last of the dark events to take place.

You could only be optimistic. You heard exciting rumors about new classes and changes to the curriculum, even new events, and you were excited to experience them all. Especially with your friends. Which, speaking of...

"Hey, Y/n! I was wondering if you'd like to go get Butterbeer with Astoria and me?" Pansy asked as you packed up your books, finishing up your last class. You smile, hoisting the bag over your shoulder.

"Sure!" You shrug your shoulders. You haven't gone out in a while, so you were eager to get some fresh air and fresh gossip. You walked with Pansy back to your dorms, chatting about if she has the same assignments in Snape's class, too, since they have him separate periods.

"You ready to go, ladies?" Astoria asked, tucking her wand into her blouse pocket. You both confirm and leave the school, walking a couple meters before being able to apparate yourself to the Leaky Cauldron. In Europe, underage drinking was common, and besides, butterbeer barely had enough alcoholic content to do anything.

Y/n, Pansy, and Astoria sat at a cozy table in the Leaky Cauldron, each of them with a frothy mug of butterbeer in their hands. It had been a while since they had all gotten together like this, and they were excited to catch up and chat about what had been going on in their lives.

"So," Astoria began, taking a sip of her drink. "Love interests, let's talk about them!"

Pansy grinned, feeling a sense of joy. "I think Hermione's very pretty, but you know how people are if a girl is with a girl. I'm still interested in Blaise right now, though."

Astoria's eyes widened. "That sounds intense. Have you had any moments with either of them?"

Pansy shook her head. "Hermione and I have started bonding a little, but I think she doesn't like me because of my reputation. Blaise, on the other hand... he gives me heart eyes."

You smiled. "That's great to hear. And how's your love life? Have you met anyone new?" You turned to Astoria.

Astoria blushed, feeling a little awkward at the question. "Nope, not really. I'm pretty sure my parents will arrange me a marriage with some pureblood. But..."

You and Pansy leaned forward, a curious look on both of your faces. "Tell us more about him. What's he like?"

Astoria felt herself light up as she began to describe her infatuation with an Italian boy whom she met during vacation this summer. "He's kind and caring, and he's so passionate about everything he does. He's a talented musician, and he's always introducing me to new bands and artists."

Pansy grinned. "Sounds like you've found a keeper."

Astoria nodded, feeling grateful for the support of her friends. "I think so, too. But enough about me. What about you, Y/n?"

You took a sip of your drink as your friends watched in anticipation. "Guys, as if I'd give a douchebag at Hogwarts a chance. The boys at our own schools are never cute except for maybe a handful, but they're all prefects or quidditch players that always put their girlfriends second to their school roles."

"I guess you have a point." Astoria sighed.

As you chatted and laughed, sipping your butterbeers and enjoying each other's company, you couldn't help but feel grateful for the friendships you had formed. It was comforting to know that you were still there for each other.
