Race horses

Horses race first of all. They race for the love of it. They test their strength and how much ability they have. Thoroughbreds are a common racing horse. I prefer quarter horses because they are a lot better for me to ride, I do know people who own thoroughbreds. They are really fast and can do good for people who want an alert horse. Horses that race have to practice and build up the speed to the max. The horse has to have a good jockey and they must love speed and racing. The horse has to be tall and must keep good wait. The jockey must be very underweight.The horse must not feel any weight because that would slow down the speed of the horse and the horse might get hurt if pushed to hard. The equipment for racing costs a lot of money and training to be a jockey is really intense. Racing horses is very intense and you could get really hurt. The horse can get hurt to. That's why it's a very risky sport.
