LAST CHAPTER!

I sat on Wilford's bed, my bags in the corner of the room. He explained to me on the ride here that his father moved out and left him with the house. I guess I don't have to worry about him bothering us, but what now? Are we just going to be serial killers? Partners in crime? (Good song) will we have to go in hiding? I don't know what happens next, it's all a mystery to me. My life has changed so much, but I like where I ended up. I know that as long as I'm with Wilford I'll be safe and happy. I heard the door open and looked over to it, seeing Wilford enter the room. He walked over to me and smiled.

"I'm glad that you're living with me now." He said, sitting down on the bed.

"So am I."

A comfortable silence filled the air after I spoke. We stared at each other and smiled. All I could see on his face was happiness, and that made me happy. I knew I was the reason for him being so happy and for once I felt wanted and loved. I moved closer to him and rested my head on his shoulder.

"Thank you..." I whispered.

"For what?"

"For being there for me when no one else was. For caring for me. For helping me. For letting me move in with you. For making me happy. For loving me..."

I clung to him as I started to feel sad. The realization of him being the only one who cared for me finally set in. I don't really think my father cared much for me...

"you don't have to thank me. Besides, I could thank you for all the same things."

He lifted my chin up with his thumb and index finger, making me look into his eyes.

"Don't be sad, darling. I'll never stop loving you, so you'll never need anyone else's love. I'm here, forever and always."

A tear slid down my cheek.

"Thank you..."

I gave him a kiss on the lips before burying my face into his chest.

Police officer's P.O.V

We took in tons of people from the fire the other day. It seems as though they were all criminals. Well, that goes for the ones who didn't get burnt to a crisp in the fire. When questioned they all say the same thing. That their boss had to have been behind it, but no one will tell me who this "boss" is. They all seem loyal to this person. That's not a good sign though. These criminals we took in are ones that took part in many homicides. It sickened me to know that there were so many. Especially because I definitely know some of them escaped the building in the cops. I sighed and headed to the next person I was supposed to interrogate. I made sure I had the man's files before entering the room. The man looked at me calmly. He seemed too calm for a situation like this. I sat down across from him and put the files I had on the table.

"So, Jaiden Hanson was it? It looks like you've taken part in more kidnappings than homicides."

"Yeah? So what?" He responded, looking me straight in the eye.

There wasn't a single trace of fear on this man's face. I wasn't sure if I should be worried or not.

"I was just pointing out some facts about you. Anyway, so you know who this boss is everyone is talking about? It'd be in your best interest to cooperate with us."

"Yeah. I do. Wanna know?"

I narrowed my eyes at him and tried to tell if he was lying or not. He didn't seem to be lying, but you can't ever trust these people.

"I would like to know, yes."

"Well, the last person to be the boss was Y/n L/n. Her father was supposed to run the place when her grandfather gave it up, but she killed them both. Then, she claimed the place as her own. The person who worked alongside her was a man who goes by Wilford Warfstache. I imagine you know about him. After all, he's the most dangerous of them all."

I quickly jotted down notes as he talked, taking everything in. Would he have made it up though?

"Are you telling the truth?"

"Of course I am. Y/n ratted us out, and I'm not going down without her."

I took note of his anger towards her. This could be useful.

"Is there anything else you have to say?"

"Nope. All that matters is that you have enough information to track her. Lock me up, I don't care. As long as you catch her I'll be okay with anything you throw at me."

"All right, Thank you for your cooperation."

I stood up and gathered my things. It won't be hard to find her now.

Y/n's P.O.V

My stuff has been unpacked for a while now and this place already feels like home. I'm the happiest I've ever been. Well that is until a knock sounded at the door. Wilford was busy making dinner, so I told him I'd answer it. When I did, the police were standing at the door.

"Are you Y/n L/n?"

"Yes, why-"

"You're under arrest for the many homicides you took part in."

"I- WILFORD THEY FOUND US!!!"

I slammed the door and locked it, knowing that they'll break it down in no time. I ran to the kitchen and Wilford quickly picked me up, running towards the back room. The door was soon knocked down and they entered as we went into the back room. Luckily they didn't see us come in here.

"Y/n, listen to me." He whispered. "Over there under the floor boards is a secret passage. It'll take you to my hideout that my father made for me a long time ago. You go on without me, I'll stay behind and keep them busy here."

"No! I can't leave you!" I whispered back.

"We don't have time for this! They're going to find us soon! I mean like two minutes soon!"

"I won't leave you!" I replied, tears forming in my eyes. "They'll kill you! I know it!"

"Y/n... Please, don't do this to me..."

His eyes started to water as he carefully walked towards me.

"I know I'll die, but I'm fine with that. As long as your safe I'll be happy."

"I-I can't l-live without y-you!"

Tears streamed down my face as I wrapped my arms around his waist, trying to keep my sons from getting too loud. I could hear them getting closer to this room and I held onto him tighter. I'd rather die with him than live without him.

"Y/n..."

He looked at me with pleading eyes, but I refused to leave without him.

"Wil, I w-want to d-die with you..." I said, smiling at him sadly. "Dying without y-you was never in m-my plans..."

He closed his eyes, taking in a shaky breath. When he opened his eyes again, tears fell down his face.

"If that's what you want, princess..."

He gave me a forced smile before giving me a kiss on the lips. The last kiss I'll ever receive. The door slammed open and guns were aimed at us. I flipped them off as I still clung to Wilford. It was obvious that we weren't going to go with them, so they shot their guns. Bullets pierced through our skin. We fell to the ground, still in each other's arms. My vision blurred and blood was everywhere.

"Y/n... I-I... love you...." Wilford managed to grunt out.

"I-I lo...ve... y-you t-t-too... Wil..."

I smiled at him as my world faded away from me. Goodbye...
