Chapter 1: A day in the Weasleys house

~Basils PVO~

hello! i'm Basil. Basil Black, but i live with the Weasleys, since they decided to take me in.

i'm 10, at the moment. so soon i can finally go to Hogwarts! Ginny is a year younger than me, so she'll be with me next year.

i try not to think about it so much, so i usually burry myself in books. books that i steal from Percy of course. i don't mind if i get into Ravenclaw or Griffindor.

(a/n: i myself, am a proud Ravenclaw. my friend is a Slytherin.)

i can recall one time i stood up for Ginny, one of the many times.

~flashback scene~

"haha, little Ginny gonna cry because her big old brothers aren't around?" one of the taller guys spat. then i lost it, i stormed up to him, and with all my might, smacked him across the face.

he looked at me before i raised my hand again, he ran for it. "he deserved it Gin, don't worry." i tell her, she nods before we start off towards our house.

"MUM! MUM! Basil smacked someone because he was being mean to me!" Ginny told mum, she was excited to tell someone about it. "BASIL DID WHAT?" Mum screamed, i knew it was then that i would be murdered.

"wow Basil, never thought you had it in you." one of the twins said, Fred. "yeah, always thought you were a little scaredy-cat." the other said, George.

~end of flashback~

i snap out of my trance because mum called me down. it was my 11th birthday. "KIDS! BREAKFAST IS READY!" she yells, so i start running downstairs.

me and the twins had this thing where whenever we had to go down, whoever was down first won. it had been going on for awhile, to my surprise, i was down first.

"i winnnn." i say, in a singsong voice, the twins groan and tell me 'good job' before getting seated. mum sets down all of our food, as we're all eating, Errol hits the window causing all of us to jump.

"they're here! alright, Fred come get your letter. George come get your letter. Ron come get your letter. Percy come hey your letter. and Basil, it's finally time to get your letter."

~end of the letter and i'm skipping to the parts i know, because i forgot what stores you get everything at, so only wand is happening atm~

i got a Yew wood with a dragon heartstring core, 12 ½" and slightly springy flexibility, interesting i guess.

as we finish up everyone's shopping i see one of my friends, Crynn. Crynn Malfoy. "Rynn! hey hey hey Rynn!" i yelled towards them. they glanced over and we both ran into each others arms, we weren't related but we sure acted like it.
